The 2inOne is one of Schlagwerk's most successful cajons. Its crisp, controlled sound coupled with its authentic crate-like design makes for a captivating instrument. The variable snare crossbar allows the traditional instrument to be changed into a universal snare cajon in just one move. This is a great choice for any acoustic jam.

It works like this: spirals inside the 2inOne snare cajon press against the playing surface at a precisely defined angle. When the surfaces are played, the spirals vibrate in a controlled manner and produce a modern snare-cajon sound. The spiral technology can be removed from the 2inOne snare cajon in one quick movement. This snare cajon then produces the traditional Cuban sound.

I've never played percussion before, but saw a Cajon played at a local venue and It looked like so much fun I had to check them out. After a lot of research both in store and watching a lot of demonstration videos of various Cajon models online I decided on the 2inOne and was not disapointed. Everyone of my friends who have heard and tried their hand at playing this Cajon all love it. I can't wait to take some lessons so I can really enjoy playing this great instrument.

  • I love my cajon!

I have been playing the cajon for over ten years and have played many different brands. This is my overall favorite. Probably the best thing about this cajon is the bass. It resonates very well and sounds very full. The snare along the top is good, too. Other cajons perhaps have a crisper sound but what I have done is loosened the screw in the far left corner quite a bit and then the one next to it a little bit less. When you smack it, the now loosened corner flaps back in a sharp, clear smack, depending how you hit it. (If you hit the snare with your right hand, you would want to loosen the other side.) Also, this cajon sounds great with or without a microphone. The one downside is, since I use a brush, the brush has smeared a stain on the cajon where I have hit it over the years, but figure it just adds character to it! Had this thing over eight years and am very happy with it.

Yes, the snare can be turned off in the Schlagwerk 2inOne Snare Cajon Deluxe Makassar. Push the snare lever backwards to switch the snare sound off.
