SABIAN

Description

Ever strike a cymbal that makes the whole room take notice? The Sabian HHX Red Light crash cymbal blends dark, smoky tone with shimmering highs, built to shine in both the studio and on stage. Developed with Todd Sucherman—renowned drummer for Styx and one of today’s most respected educators and clinicians—it carries a voice that feels rich, modern and unmistakably musical. The profile and hammering make it smooth under the stick, giving drummers a crash that feels comfortable and responds naturally. Available in 18", 19", 20" and 22" sizes, it gives you a palette of voices instead of just another set of cymbals.

The Sabian HHX Red Light Crash Is Ready to Get to Work

The HHX Red Light crash was shaped with working drummers in mind. Each size brings its own character, and when played together they lock in like layered voices, opening up textures you can actually use behind the kit. From smoky washes to sharp accents, it delivers tones that sit right in overheads and cut clean through a live mix. With its hand-hammered profile and smooth response, you get a buttery touch, quick attack and the kind of control pros count on for everything from quiet swells to full crashes. It’s the kind of thoughtful craftsmanship Sabian has built its name on—driven by drummers, made for drummers. That vision is clear in Sucherman’s input, ensuring this cymbal line offers both the depth of HHX darkness and the clarity needed for modern recording.

Sabian Craftsmanship and Living Metal Legacy

Every HHX Red Light crash is shaped and hammered by hand, built from the B20 bronze Sabian calls "living metal." That idea isn’t just talk—it reflects their commitment to instruments that balance tradition and innovation. Each cymbal is carefully crafted and tested to deliver a voice that’s unique yet reliable. The Sabian HHX Red Light crash cymbal shows why drummers worldwide continue to trust Sabian: instruments made with care, designed to inspire and built to last. Since 1982, Sabian has been handcrafting cymbals in Canada, carrying forward a legacy of experimentation and respect for the craft. From pioneering designs like the Rocktagon to today’s HHX line, they continue to push sound forward while staying true to the drummer’s touch on stage and in the studio.
