SABIAN HHX Plosion Crash Cymbal 20 in.

Let me start by saying that I have way more cymbals than anybody needs. I was at the store the other day just looking at the cymbals, checking them out and came across a SABIAN HHX 16"' Xplosion. I was trying it out and fell in love with it. I toyed with the thought of getting yet another cymbal (that I didn't need) for several days. I went back several times to check out that HHX and eventually ended up getting it. I made room for it on my kit. I just fell in love with the way it crescendos. It has a very musical tone to it, and it cuts through without being over bearing. I love a cymbal that sounds like glass when you hit it and that is this cymbal. I have placed it over between my floor tom and the 13" rack mounted tom where it is positioned perfectly to crash at the end of a fill or a roll. that is what it really sounds good for. The HHX line in my opinon is the top line that SABIAN makes unless you get into the custom made lines like the Paragon. I take great confidence in knowing that each cymbal is hand hammered and tested at the factory, unlike the X20 series which even though it is a "cast" cymbal, no personal attention or craft work is done to it like the HHX series has. I highly recommend the HHX series crash to anybody that is series about sounding good. The Brilliant finish (which mine has) definately makes your kit shine too.
