SABIAN

Description

Step behind a crash that knows how to light up a stage. The Sabian AA Spotlight crash cymbal was developed with Todd Sucherman, the powerhouse drummer of Styx, for drummers who demand projection and clarity without losing feel. Its hammered profile and oversized raw bell push sound forward in the mix, while the brilliant finish adds shimmer that cuts cleanly through guitars and keys. Even with its bold attack, the cymbal feels smooth under the stick, letting drummers move from sharp accents to dynamic swells with ease. Available in 18", 19", 20" and 22" sizes, it’s a true stage tool built for players who want sound and presence that matches their energy. Backed by Sabian’s legacy of Canadian craftsmanship and innovation since 1982, it’s a crash you can count on gig after gig.

Sabian AA Spotlight Crash Cymbal Built for Live Power

Every detail of the AA Spotlight crash is shaped for performance in loud, complex mixes. Deep hammering and a wide raw bell give every hit crisp articulation and a quick response, so accents cut through without wash or clutter. The brilliant finish enhances highs and keeps the cymbal looking sharp under stage lights, making it as striking visually as it is sonically. Whether miked in a venue or played acoustically in rehearsal, this crash brings projection and definition that feels built for working drummers who need reliability night after night.

Sabian Craftsmanship and Living Metal Legacy

What sets the AA Spotlight apart is more than its tone—it’s the way it’s made. Each cymbal is cast from B20 bronze and shaped by hand in Sabian’s Canadian workshop, where every strike of the hammer is part of a tradition that began in 1982. Sabian calls bronze "living metal," and that belief guides their entire process: respecting the material, shaping it with care and allowing every cymbal to develop its own voice. Before it reaches a drummer, each crash is inspected, tested and refined to deliver the consistency professionals expect while keeping the individuality that only handcraft can provide. The AA Spotlight is proof of Sabian’s legacy—where tradition and innovation meet, always with the drummer at the center.
