The Roland VAD716 V-drums acoustic design kit provides an unparalleled playing experience for the modern drummer. With six mesh-head pads, a powerful V71 module and a variety of premium woods, it offers a dynamic acoustic aesthetic and full-featured electronic capabilities. The V71 module delivers a multi-sampled sound library created in collaboration with Drum Workshop, as well as software for transitioning seamlessly to computer-based playing.

Authentic Feel From Premium Pads

The VAD716 features Roland's latest pads, including a 14" digital snare, 12" toms and 14" hi-hats, providing an authentic feel and natural rebound. The snare and tom pads are tension adjustable, allowing you to customize the feel. The digital cymbals offer a wide range of expressive tones, from subtle taps to full crashes. With their natural size and mesh heads, the pads encourage acoustic-style technique and rebound for an immersive playing experience.

V71 Module Provides Expandable, High-Fidelity Sound

At the heart of the VAD716 is Roland's powerful V71 module with an all-new, multi-sampled sound library created in collaboration with Drum Workshop. It offers a core set of high-resolution sounds to get you started, which can then be expanded with digital downloads from Roland Cloud. The module provides deep editing tools, studio-grade effects and 32 channels of uncompressed audio via USB for recording without latency. Its large color display and intuitive interface make navigating the module's features simple and enjoyable.

Seamless Transition to Software

The V71 module pairs with DW Soundworks, a software drum instrument for macOS and Windows computers. With a Roland Cloud Ultimate membership, the software provides a fluid transition from playing the VAD716 to computer-based drumming. It gives you a familiar interface and editing tools, the ability to customize kits with additional sounds and access to pattern libraries for practice and play-along. The VAD716's built-in wireless connectivity makes downloading software updates and content quick and convenient.

Premium Design With Acoustic Vibe

The VAD716 has an acoustic drum set footprint and appearance with high quality shells and stands. It comes in five premium finishes including satin walnut. With its natural woodgrains and matte lacquer, the satin walnut finish, in particular, provides an organic look and feel. All components are thoughtfully designed to capture the aesthetic of acoustic drums. The end result is an electronic kit that inspires creativity with its blend of digital power and analog soul.

    Compatible Roland Tom Pads: PDA Series (Acoustic Design Shells): PDA100 (10") PDA120 (12") PDA140F (14" floor tom) These are the stock tom pads included with the VAD716 and are designed to match the kit's acoustic aesthetic. PD Series (Mesh Pads): PD-108 (10") PD-128 (12") PD-140DS (14" digital snare pad) These mesh-head pads offer a different feel and are compatible with the V71 module. PDX Series (Compact Mesh Pads): PDX-100 (10") PDX-12 (12") These are more compact and can be useful for space-saving setups or auxiliary toms. 🔌 Trigger Input Considerations: The V71 module included with the VAD716 offers multiple trigger inputs, allowing for the addition of extra pads. Ensure that any added pads are connected to the appropriate inputs and configured correctly within the module's settings.     Everything is included except the pedals. The stands are included.
