Not bad for the price.

I had an acoustic guitar when I was growing up, but never learned much more than a couple of chords and to tab a few songs out and have forgotten the majority of that over the years. My oldest daughter got a toy guitar (plastic acoustic that actually doesn't sound horrible when tuned) and wanted me to learn with her, so I decided to get this kit as a cheap starting point in case one, or both, of us decided to give up. The pros: The guitar is easily to adjust and keeps it's tuning well. The unfinished maple is a stark contrast to the rosewood fingerboard. The amp has more than enough power for playing in the house. The parts are easily accessible and easy to adjust the string height and the pickups (which needed to be adjusted as well.) You do get what you pay for, but I don't see much, if any problem, with someone starting with this guitar if you're strapped or if you don't know if this will be more of a talking point or a daily player. Really the quality begins and almost ends with the guitar. The Cons: The frets stick out a little, but nothing a little steel wool doesn't take care of. The amp is noisy especially when nothing is being played. The overdrive is useless and there is no adjustment. The carry bag was worn through on the bottom when I opened the box. The holes in the strap are too small and have to be worked a bit to get over the nobs. This is most likely why the straps are failing so quickly in the other reviews. Neutral: The wineburst pattern is much darker than what the image shows. It's still a great look, but it's just not as vibrant as on the computer screen. The overall fit and finish on the guitar are probably at par for a cheap guitar and about what I expected, but leaves some to be desired. I do wished they would have had some, even cheap plastic, label for volume and tone. Yes, I know once you know it's not that big of a deal, but it couldn't have been all that complicated.

Excellent combo pack, Great Money Saver...Amp is OK

I bought this combo pack for my daughter. She is a self taught guitar player. She learned on an acoustic and wanted to give the electric a try. The packaging was great. Its def. as shown on the website. However, the amp gave us a bit of trouble in the beginning. It took some fine tuning and playing with the levels to balance everything out. It sounds good. Not the greatest, but OK. Recommeded for beginner. DO NOT BUY THIS FOR SOMEONE THAT HAS BEEN PLAYING A WHILE AND KNOWS WHAT HE/SHE IS DOING...

I could not be more disappointed with this guitar. I purchased it for my 9 year old son to transition from acoustic to electric and it has been a total waste of money. Out of the box, the cord and bag were totally unusable. The cord was as thin as the wire from a set of cheap headphones and the bag could have been replaced with a trash bag. It was thin and had no padding whatsoever, offering no protection to any guitar placed inside. The amp has a terrible sound quality and distorts on any volume above 2. I had to repair a tuning peg after two weeks of use. Fortunately I was able to repair this rather than replace. The frets need to be filed down as they extend past the edge of the fretboard and cut up the fingers of anyone unfortunate enough to pick up this "instrument". The final straw was that only after six weeks, it has developed an electrical problem (likely a disconnected ground wire) that will require me to further disassemble and repair....although I may not bother to do so. I strongly suggest not wasting your money on this package. There are too many budget guitars out there to lose any time or funds over this item.

I just got this guitar as a gift for Christmas and it is great! However, for anyone going for a metal/ rocky sound, you will have to buy a separate distortion pedal, but besides that, it is a amazing guitar! I have seen reviews about this guitar and its strap holders snapping off, but I have not encountered that problem. I would just go easy on it and not jump around while using the strap. The amp is easy to set up and the guitar somes all nice and wrapped up. There as no dents, stains, or blemishes. Overall this guitar is a great and looks amazing!

Got everything in the kit including the amp…Only concern I would have is that the AMP isn't working for my no sound coming out of the speaker but it works with the phones. I might need to buy an AMP unless They are willing to replace it. But all and all the Guitar works amazingly. All and all 4 Stars.

    1) Sure it is. 2) Guitars are a standard size. They're are different body shapes but the scale will be the same.

Hii I was wondering if this pack is compatible with headphones. I am a beginner, this would be my first electric guitar and I only have experience with acoustic ones. However I share the apartment with some people and I would like to know if it's possible to play using headphones so that I don't disturb the house. Also, would I be able to pick up the equipment at a physical store or only through the website? Thank you!
