Great for starters
This bass feels good plays good and sounds good. If you don't have the money to afford a professional bass then this is good to buy. Its a good starter not a professional bass so don't criticize for its low price or lack of pro tone. One thing I suggest about this bass is to check it for Defects.

Buzzes like a beehive. Poor construction and quality control
Fret buzz on this thing is so bad. I received my bad and there was a hole in the box. The neck of the instrument has high frets and this ruins the experience of playing. I would not recommend this to anyone. The packaging is very poor with only a few small pieces of thin foam and it comes in a foam bag. You'll be lucky if you get it without damage from shipping. I'd say go with another brand in this price point because the quality control at rogue just isn't up to snuff. You may have better luck with a Mitchell. Now I'm stuck with a bass that should play like new but doesn't and I'll have to pay someone to fix it. It is very disappointing.

I'm learning to play hard rock and I enjoy learning the bass. For the price, it is really a good guitar.

I will say I returned it to Guitar Center and the person I dealt with agreed with the condition. He put in a rush order to have it replaced as soon as possible. Good customer service is appreciated! Also the fact that he recognized something was wrong and was willing to do everything possible to fix the issue.

I had Hope that this would work out, I got this for my son on President's Day for a good deal. But unfortunately there was a lot of fret buzz which caused me to take it back and ask them to set it up for me, then I was called about 10 Days later and said that the neck was twisted and if it was still in The 45 days I should return it and get something else. So that's exactly what I did

I was wondering if this is a bass that plays metal music or rock music, and if it doesn't, could you give me some recommendations. But I hope it is a metal bass.
Yes, this will work great with rock and metal due to its 5th string.submitted5 years ago
