Tough as nails
I picked up an 8 space at GC Beaverton,Or. about 10 months ago.Since then I've loaded and unloaded this thing at least twice a week doing road trips, and haven't had any problems whatsoever. They're strong and have handled my riggers of the road which isn't easy.I tend to get a little rough on my gear just to see if they'll do what they say. When it doesn't then I have a legitimate gripe. These things are strong.Don't buckle under the weight of amps and other gear. The handles are spring loaded and pretty durn strong. The lids have kept debris and prying eyes out like they're intended too.The rails are strong and they came with the screws for instant mounting."mine did".Other than the scratches mine has encountered. It's tough as nails.I plan to buy another"10sp" real soon, as my equipment has grown considerably large.Great price for decent equipment.

Became worthless after several years - avoid!
I bought this Road Runner 6U rackmount case from Guitar Center - 5 to 10 years ago, not sure when. It was a nice case for a while. I never abused it. And it even sat in my living room, not being used for 1/2 the time I owned it, and when I did use it, it was maybe once per week max, or less. So here's what happened: a.) At first I noticed that the locking mechanisms became "floppy", that is that the part that you spin around didn't click flat to the case; it just kind of hung by gravity, and would flop back and forth depending on how you were holding the case. Not a show-stopper, though, because the locking mechanisms still worked. This was first on 1 of the 4 locks, but now is on all 4 of 4 locks. b.) Then the locks became increasingly flimsy, and not "tight" feeling. There was "play" in them. Still not a show stopper because they still locked. This was on 2 of the 4 locks. c.) Today I pulled the case out again, after having it sit there for 2 years or so, because I wanted to use it. Now I find that one of the locks has so much "play" in it, that when you turn it, it turns 360 degrees and just keeps going around. During that 360 degree rotation, at a certain point, the lock "closes", but as you continue to turn it, it opens again, and as you turn it some more, it closes again. That means that the lock is completely non-trustworthy. You think I'm going to trust my equipment to that case now? d.) This hurts to say, but it looks like the next stop for this case is the dumpster! Man, that hurts. What I am telling you is the truth. I wish it were not.

I have my Fractal AxeFXlll in it plus room for all the cables I need to play. Compact, sturdy and stylish. Came with screws and soft washers so the screws don't mar the surface of the rack gear.
Great product buy again

Buyer beware, case is advertised as 14" but that is not rail to rail. It's only 12" rail to rail.
