These heads use 2 free-floating plies of 7-mil film, which give them their consistent open tones and account for their popularity among many of today's top drummers. In 10", 12", 13", 14", or 16".

No wonder John Bonham uses these!!! they are an amazing upgrade from the heads that originally came on my drum kit and i am going to stick with these. I hit very hard and they have not even dented in the several months I have had them and when I do eventually break them (if ever) I will without hesitation buy new ones.

when i bought this head a few months back i was excited, i have used remo since i started playing drums about 5 years ago but i was dissapointed at the lack of bounce this head had and how much it seemed to dampen the crack of the snare. if you hate that crack and want absolutely no overtones (which i actually want to a certain degree) then this is the head for you but if your like me a remo ambassador is a better choice

Imagine this: going from Pearl Pro Tone heads that were included with my kit and then moving up to these...yeah, you know it blew my freakin' mind! It's no wonder why many of history's top drummers have sworn allegiance to Remo -- their heads simply rock! I put this head on my snare and started tuning and I could already tell the difference! My snare has never sounded to alive...it had a crack that I never imagined possible! These heads are great and I am now exclusively Remo. Check these out and prepare to have your sound go to newer levels!
Comments about Remo Emperor Coated Drum Head:
These are great heads. They get a really dark, heavy sound. They also last for an amazing amount of time. They aren't as bright as ambassadors, but they last longer. I wouldn't suggest emperors on the snare, but they sound good on the toms. They're overall great heads, I'd recomend the shorter-lifed ambassadors, but emperors are still great.
Comments about Remo Emperor Coated Drum Head:
These are great heads. They sound big and alive, with minimal overtones. Emperors make good tom batters, but I wouldnt recommend them for Snare batters. You must know how to tune well if you want the best sound out of these heads.

Remo makes the best drumheads period.Ive tried evans heads but was never satisfied.Played clear emperors and was amazed by the sound, but when i swithched to coated emperors, there aint no going back.Remo is the king!
Comments about Remo Emperor Coated Drum Head:
These are my favorite type of 2-Ply head. They not only let the drum sing when tuned high and let your floor tom roar when tuned low, the also have outstanding durability. They also sound great for use with bruses or hot rods.If you are looking for a great souding coated head, this is for you.

This is a great drumhead by a great company. For any style of music you play this thing will hold up to anything. It has a great tone to it and is just a overall awesome drumhead. Believe me you won't be disappointed!!!

I'm a loud player and to let you know this is the best snare head I ever bought. It lasted me for a year and it's worth it.
Comments about Remo Emperor Coated Drum Head:
I'm no Portnoy, but I understand good and bad noise. These babies are freaking fantastic. I have them over some clear Ambassadors, and they sound amazing. You'll get a very deep boom with minimal sustain, and no annoying overtones. (Get some Remo RemOs Tone Control Rings to get rid of this if practicing solo, but don't forget sustain's necessary if you're not mic'd!) These also bounce like no other and'll have you rolling like Moon in no time. They're quite diverse too. The sound's ideal for vintage metal, but'll fit well into classic rock without being too aggressive. I'd buy 'em again, and probably will!
Comments about Remo Emperor Coated Drum Head:
Just switched over from the Emperor clears to this head and i'm really loving it! Its alot more durable than the emperor clears and tunes alot easier. I have found that the feel is more bouncy than the clears. Anyway, this is a great upgrade from any head you might have and will last you a very long time

I can tell anybody you won't dissapoint with this heads, i got them as batter head my toms in sizes 10, 12, 14 and 16 a year ago and they are still sounding great, getting that warm and low resonant without overtones sound. I'd tried with many remo heads and the best ones in sounds and durability are these ones by far. Many drummers have ask me, how you make your drumset sound that good, and i always say, is the drumheads, the Remo coated emperor! Buy them now, the best batter heads you can get on your toms!
Comments about Remo Emperor Coated Drum Head:
i put these on my RMV custom kit. emperors sound sweet with the maple shells on the toms. they have the punchy sound i was looking for but do resonate well in the shell. most heads will be punchy but papery like ambassadors which id reccomend for snare. these heads are works of art i'll say.
Comments about Remo Emperor Coated Drum Head:
These drum heads are amazing!!!! I got them a few days ago and they sound awesome. They do have some ring so if you don't want that just get some moon gels. I like the ringy-ness. I bought the 12, 13, 14, and 16" heads for the tops off my set and 12, 13, 14, and 16" clear ambassador heads for the bottom. The first thing my friend said when he heard my new set was.... " Woah your set sounds like Bonhams!" All in all these are great heads with their warm sounds. Get em!
Comments about Remo Emperor Coated Drum Head:
I started with standard or stock Tama heads. After three years I finally got new heads. I immediatly put them on. Before I even started tuning they sounded spectacular. I recommend these to anyone who's serious about drumming.
Comments about Remo Emperor Coated Drum Head:
i;ve played on evans g2, and other types of remo's but this ones are the best. low and fat tones, which i love. great sound, and very durable. they sound even better with a dampener. these are really the emperors!!!!
Comments about Remo Emperor Coated Drum Head:
Remo heads are by far the best heads ever! I replaced my old Evans G1 head with this head. The Evans head sounds tinny and isn't durable. This head works great and makes my poplar drums sound like maple drum. This head makes your drums sound so full of sound and is amazing to mic. They sound amazing with a mic, and need no eq or compression.

Comments about Remo Emperor Coated Drum Head:
I bought my 8 piece 1980's Ludwig kit second hand two years ago because I have always loved music (drums especially) and wanted to learn to play .I just replaced the heads with these and am totally blown away by the sound of my drums now. Super warm and deep and a booming attack. I set out to try and harness the sound of Bonham...I've done it....now if I could just learn to play like him! Anyway, it will be fun just trying! These heads have made ALL the difference! I'm hooked on Remo
