Sound great, look great, what's not to love? Maybe the price tag, that's it. :-)

Interesting drum head. I tried it on a snare with mixed results but am hopeful it can bring some toms to life so I am going to buy a set for that and see.

I purchased this 8" Black Suede Ambassador head for my home Electronic Bass Drum head, because the original material has been wiped out multiple times. This head seems to be working fine without any signs of wear. Also, because I guess from the material (so called "black suede) it does not have that "tickety" sound that might heard from other shiny mylar heads. What I do know, it will last much longer than the original material. Of course for my use it tends to be non electronically louder than than original, but not by much. Will probably purchase these in the future for the remaining EDs.

I originally bought these to use as resos on my recording kit, but I ended up using them for batters on my gigging kit, and they are a big hit with the sound guys, and my bandmates---unless you want your toms to sound like bongos these heads are what you want---bring on the thunder!!!!

Great head. Nice deep and rich sound. They sound great for just about any genre, if you tune them right. They hold tune quite well. I would recommend these!

I just put these heads on my Pearl Forum kit, My floor tom has never sounded so good. From the day I bought my drums I have never been able to get my toms to sound right. They were way to ringy. I got these heads tuned them the same way I always tune my kit and what a suprise no more nasty overtones. Worth the extra cost if you want a great sounding head.
