Best SS amp head ive used, dethroned my 84 peavey bandit 65. Has a sterile clean channel, lets your natural guitar tone voice out. regular overdrive channel and super overdrive. Both having options for noise gate, which works brilliantly, in front of amp signal chain and after eq stack like a fortin zuul. Noise gate very finicky on adjustment to get perfect tight sustain. MUST HAVE HEAVY SPEAKERS TO APPRECIATE RAW POWER AND TONE 38oz + MAGNET
I would not buy from Musicians Friend

The head is awesome! Channel one did not work. I quickly contacted MF and they sent me a RA label. I sent it back the next day. When I initially contacted them I requested an exchange. He said he would note that. My it was received on a Thursday,I call Monday to check on status, nothing was in motion. I was told they do not do exchanges due to COVID at this time. They said we will refund your money which will take 2 to 4 business days. I ordered this head on June 12th, it is now June 29th. So it would probably be mid July before I receive it again. And what if the new one is defective?! This policy makes no sense, they won't send me a new one after receiving the old one, but will send me a new one after I repurchase it once I receive my refund? Huh? Which new one had possible exposure to Covid from the warehouse? Anyway, I'm not dealing with this wonkiness and I have purchased somewhere else. Hopefully my money is returned toe soon.
Thunderous Solid State Monster!!!

Solid state amps have made tremendous leaps and bounds for overall sound, power and reliability. Randall produced something bar none has any solid state competitor for both price and power size with this RG3003H 300W Solid State Guitar Amp Head. Great channels, all can be used for any type of playing. I have been playing guitar for 35 years, a true gear horder, however based on cost and issues with tubes, went the solid state route... Randall is the leader for SS amps... if you take the time to learn the EQ, you can dial in most sounds for any style of playing. I run this madman via my Peavey JSX 400W 4x12.. at 16 ohms it cuts some of the power but there is enough to provide hearing loss if you are stupid enough to stand in front of it during gigs... I am 1000000 percent elated with this... Metal players will love the 3rd channel boosted with a good distortion pedal [I have tons, fav is Maxxon Green]. Get on, blast it on, ruin your neighbors life,,,, enjoy it until the last breath you take!!!!!
Tube Killer!

If you're looking to play loud but are on a budget, look no further than this fine piece of sonic weaponry that puts tube amplifiers to shame. I bought this as a Christmas gift for a friend of mine to replace his custom-built tube amp that he had to sell off. When I told him it was a solid state amp, he was admittedly skeptical...until he plugged in. Not only does it offer a boat-load of gain and tube-like saturation and warmth for a fraction of the price you'd pay for a tube amp, it's surprisingly versatile- the clean channel is gorgeous, and the two overdrive channels are killers. And unlike its younger brothers in the RG family, the RG3003 has a built-in noise gate that works like a dream. Long story short- my buddy loves it and he's been jamming on it non-stop.

Does this amp comes with a footswitch? If not what kind of footswitch does it take.
"a four-function footswitch is included."
