Great amp. Better than most traditional tube heads. Small size and portability makes it great. Works with any at Home cab so really convenient. This is one of the best I've tried.

I use this amp direct at church. I plug my board in, run my time-based effects through the effects loop, and it sounds great. I've never used it with a cab, but I would think it would perform well. If you're only using the XLR out to a sound system, run the amp on "standby."
Not Impressed Initially

Long time old school analog/tube amp guy with a wall of high end amps. My guitar teacher of over 30 years and fellow tone snob made the switch to avoid humpin amps and I was fiercely resistant. Decided to try the US version and was so impressed I grabbed the UK. I'll preface this by saying I'm primarily a strat, edge of breakup player with a big emphasis on cleans. Had high hopes for the AC30 amps but am really disappointed. I've never owned an AC30 so this isn't a commentary on how well it replicates that sound but more so my impression of the tone and feel. It seems flat and dull to me. None of the sparkle I'd expect from EL84s and the AC30 Top circuit is even more disappointing. The JMP sounds great and is the only one I would use. I don't like the bright can either. I would much prefer a unit with a 45/100 Marshall super for cleans, a 68-69 JMP-50 1987 for gain and the 79 JMP. Unfortunately this unit is likely getting returned. I will try with my Les Paul as that is likely better suited for this unit.

I heard vids of people playing through this box but they were playing into a cabinet which sounded great. However I wanted something to go direct to recording and the cab sim on this is limited IMO it has some great sounds but not that many via XLR out for the price was too limited
Compact, versatile, and useful.

This is a great amp to play direct into a PA. If your band is making you play ear monitors and wants a "quiet stage" get this amp. You can power it with your 9v pedal board. It will drive a speaker with the 9v power supply surprisingly well. The 24v power supply that comes with the amp is a little bulky, If you want to drive a speaker cab at band volume you need the 24v. It has effects loop and headphone out. It is compact, versatile and, has good tone ( three different voicing's ). I give the UK the edge over the US model.
Meh.

Is this loud enough for a medium to large church? I would be going thru a sound board.
By itself, no. If you're going though the board it'll be fine.
