    When looking for a case to protect my vintage 1971 Ludwig SBP SD, I decided I didn't want a soft case. Nor did I want a round, modern molded case. But instead, something more industrial looking without the weight and excessive price. It was hard enough finding a decent case for an older 5x14 SD as it was. On the advice of a relative (and fellow drummer), I looked at Protechtor's cases. And they fit my qualifications to a tee. This case is very well built. The fit & finish are exceptional. My SD is snug as a bug in a rug. Even more so with the addition of a wee bit of foam. All in all, a great looking case that meeds all my needs, and protects my SD like a Rotweiler.
