Great controller!... if you don't use Ableton

What can I say? This product does work with Studio One seamlessly (as it's designed to). I primarily use Ableton though, and that's where it got buggy. The faders worked fine, it was more so the buttons not matching up. In fact, all of the main functions worked (faders, pan pots, arm/mute etc.) but the more intuitive controls (for the plug ins, navigation, and metronome) did other things or nothing at all. For instance, the "click" button turns on post clip fades... I say all of this with a bitter tone because I really wanted this thing to work. It's built solid, and is fairly priced. I really hoped it'd speed up my workflow, and give me more than a mouse to work with. But in the end, it just became more time consuming. I wish they had expander units too, because once you dive into multiple busses and sends, the faders get confusing.

I started with Presonus Studio One before I switched to Pro Tools. This controller works seamlessly with bot DAWs. It does have additional features that can only be used with Studio One but I love using it wit Pro Tools.

I really like this controller. It's very intuitive and enjoyable to use.. It makes mixing and monitoring so much more engaging. It makes digital mixing a tactile experience rather than pointing and clicking. Your hands are on a mixing board. Relative level balancing is faster, easier. more pleasurable with the motorized faders. Definitely better than a mouse or pad. I feel more inspired working. I wish presonus would make a companion plugin controller. I ended up getting a Behringer BCR2000. Used together, they form a seamless pair.
