Description

If you are familiar with other Portastand stands, the Commoner is like a Troubadour without the nylon cover or Wind Resistors. Another way to look at it is that it’s a Minstrel with a greater height reach. Just like the Minstrel, the 17” tripod is held to the front desk lip by E-Z secure straps for transport. But just like the Troubadour, the 21”-wide metal desk is large enough for 2-3 full pages of sheet music. Additionally, the Commoner maintains compatibility with the full line of Portastand accessories.

    I have had my commoner for over 5 years and it's been rock solid. I've used it as a music stand, but also as a gear stand if I need a quick and sturdy place to keep a mixer and a laptop. It's not super light, but it's made of steel and pretty dang indestructible. That also makes it more sturdy when I am playing outside and there's a gust of wind. I also love that you can use just the top on a table or piano. It is way better than just laying my sheet music on the piano and trying to read it that way.

    this broke within 1 day. its SO heavy, and NOT portable. look elsewhere.
