Pioneer DJ

Description

Poised to revolutionize the portable DJ experience, the highly compact Pioneer DDJ-SB3 controller offers plug-and-play simplicity along with the world's first Pad Scratch for professional-sounding scratch performances. Designed specifically for use with Serato DJ Lite, this powerhouse controller offers 4-deck control and a lightweight, yet rugged design that's ideal for the modern mobile DJ on the go.

Developed from recordings of DJ Jazzy Jeff's performances, Pad Scratch emulates eight of his scratch techniques with the simple touch of performance pads built into the controller. Any track that you’re playing or have cued up will be scratched, and the scratch speed automatically matches the track’s BPM. So even if you don't know how to scratch, you can pull off professional scratch effects without breaking rhythm. Use the Pad Scratch feature alone or combine it with your own scratching on the other deck for limitless creative possibilities.

Smooth mixing on the DDJ-SB3 is also a breeze, thanks to another innovative feature called FX Fade, which allows you to reduce the volume and apply FX to a track at the same time. Whether you’re an experienced DJ or a beginner, this enables you to smoothly transition to your incoming track, even if you’re playing with different genres of music. There are eight FX patterns to choose from, with two of each of the following types: high-pass filter, low-pass filter, loop playback and back spin.

Since the DDJ-SB3 is powered by a single USB connection to a laptop, there's no need for a separate power supply, allowing mobile DJs to streamline their portable setup. That means you'll spend less time fumbling with cables and more time keeping the audience on their feet.

Ideal for beginners as well as more experienced DJs, the DDJ-SB3 includes a free download of Serato DJ Lite, formally known as Serato DJ Intro. As your skill level increases, the DDJ-SB3 grows with you, thanks to its compatibility with Serato DJ Pro, which is available as a paid download. Both programs are powerful, flexible tools that feature customizable layouts and expansion options.

The DDJ-SB3 improves on the renowned DDJ-SB2, which gained a strong reputation with a wide range of DJs—from beginners to pros—thanks to its combination of professional features and easy portability. The interface of the DDJ-SB3 is even more intuitive to use than its predecessors, inheriting traits from the layouts of the top models in the DDJ-S series including the introduction of the dedicated play and cue buttons, and the independent Auto Loop button.

Thanks to the clear visual division between the player and mixer sections, the DDJ-SB3 feels natural to use. The low-latency, capacitive aluminum jog wheels create a quality look and feel that you'd expect to find in a professional DJ booth, all in a highly capable and portable package.

Great controller

I Love the controller. It's responsive and clean. the old school approach in design is. a nice tough too. If anything the software is a little buggy still. Drop outs mid set after about 30 minutes of continuous play, or a need to quit out and re-open occasionally throws a wrench in the works. the free software does not allow you to save presets and so that ends up being an annoyance. But the controller is great! I would just invest in the Pro software right off the cuff

This product is ok, not the best but not the worst

So the middle slider in the bottom doesn't work properly. Also the two channel mixers don't cut off any sound. On the channel mixers only 1 side lights up and not even all the way just like 3 lights. On the top of both the 1&2's the FX knob really messes up the sound, it sounds as if you have a bad six chord whenever you turn the knob. Other then that everything works good but buy at your own risk because once you install serato the guy told me you can return it smh.

I'm addicted to this controller! Started learning to DJ as a hobby in March 2020 with the Dj2go controller and purchased this one in Sept. 2020. Did alot of research online to figure out best settings and problem solve with audio issues(NO fault of controller). It's built well, easy to set up, good look and not too big...GREAT for Novice and beyond as a lightweight backup! I highly recommend it and upgrade to Serato Pro!
