Introducing the PLX-CRSS12 professional digital-analog hybrid turntable

PLX-CRSS12: Professional Digital-Analog Hybrid Turntable - Overview
Description
The PLX-CRSS12 can adapt to suit the artist style. By adjusting the rotation dial on the included Magvel clamp, artists can change how “heavy” or “light” the record feels. Artists can also adjust the turntable’s torque level in the utility settings, and there are three stopping speeds to choose from. At first glance, artists will see how the PLX-CRSS12 has been designed for fluid scratching and intuitive performances. And when they look closer, they’ll notice new features that enable a greater level of control and creativity. The battle-style layout leaves plenty of room for scratching and there are four MIDI-mappable performance pads too. Artists can also keep an eye on crucial information via the OLED display. As well as the exciting features artists can see, the PLX-CRSS12 includes a host of new additions which are hidden. Various components have been upgraded from the highly respected PLX-1000 professional turntable to create the best-ever analog sound from a Pioneer DJ deck.

Best Turntable Ever?

Wow! This thing has blown away all my expectations. Albeit expensive, this definetely blows away my current Phase/1200's setup. This turntable is very plug and play, to go from analog vinyl to the digital internal mode vinyl is as easy as one button. To those looking for the differences between the Rane 12 and this CRSS12. The main difference you will see is feel, this CRSS12 torque is rediculous powerful, when slowing down the platter you use different forces to slow it down to your desired speed, you don't feel like the platter will ever stop. I didn't feel this torque in the Rane Twelves. Also not having to break out a drill and drill 3 holes in a record to swap out vinyl is a huge plus for me. Can you use any vinyl you want in seconds, just plop it on and throw on the adapter. Ok now the cons, the main con of this unit is when using the internal digital mode and not using the tonearm, you stow the tone arm in it's home position, this is great and all however this now means you have to reach above the tonearm to get to your pitch control. Is it a huge stretch? No but it is noticeable. This is one plus with the Twelves, no Tonearm in the way of the pitch when reaching over. Now if the CRSS12 had a removable tonearm, mannnn I think we would have a major game changer however this is a turntable first and a digital device 2nd so I get why this isn't a feature, maybe in a future release. However all in all the build quality is like a tank, hardly any plastic, this thing will last for years. Go buy a pair!
