collapse expand iconDescription

The bright, clear sound of the Paiste 2002 Sound Edge Hi-Hats makes them particularly well-suited for high-energy performances. Their precise, splashy sound projects loudly so they are never lost in the mix. Formed from CuSn8 bronze, these hi-hats are bright and energetic for a live performance but also have the precision needed for studio recording.

A classic cymbal, the Sound Edge Hi-Hats features a unique rippled bottom which eliminates airlock for a sharp sound. Heavier models are also available for increased volume. Enjoy focused, splashy sounds when you play the classic Paiste 2002 Sound Edge Hi-Hats.

If you are reading this, you likely know the history of these cymbals. They are timeless and adjust to any musical application. I use them for metal gigs lately, but they are at home with pop/r&b or even praise and worship.

  • I would definitely be purchasing them again

I have had these before. I'm glad Paiste still produces these, my absolute favorite hi-hat cymbals.

  • Probably the last set of hats you'll ever buy/ need

These hats have the chick and sizzle that you would expect from hats. Can be loud if you want and are just as responsive in a quieter setting. I think I've found my forever hats.

  • Great hats!

I walked into GC thinking I was gonna grab a new set of A custom master sound hats. Played these and fell in love. 15+ years drumming. I play rock/punk/folky stuff and they just work well. PS, I played all the high end hats. These have a super "chick" sound. The deacription above is spot on.
