The title says basically everything about this guitar. I have played numerous guitars through my life but this one has the best tone and best feel on the fretboard I've experienced. Clean to Shred on my amp highlights every aspect of this guitar. The value is well worth the price for this guitar.
Not sure if I would buy again

I love the tone and the looks of this guitar. The only problem is the frets are very sharp on both ends. My other PRS guitars are not like this. In fact this is the only guitar I have bought in the last 2 years that are like this. I own 3 Fenders, one Gretsch a Martin and even a Zagar, only this one PRS has this problem. I reached out to Guitar Center yesterday but no reply yet.
Nice guitar but not the one for me.

I'd had my eye on this model for a while and decided to get one while they were still on sale. I have a PRS Swamp Ash Special that impressed me, so I had high hopes for this one. The fit and finish was amazing. My main issue is that, having smaller hands, I found the neck just too chunky for me to be able to play it comfortably. The guitar sounded pretty good, but I didn't find the push/pull tones to vary much like they do on the SAS. The 24.594" scale length is better than the 25" on the SAS, in my opinion. But the lack of a maple top on the McCarty Standard makes the sound rather warm and slightly dark. Perhaps the regular version with the maple cap sounds a little brighter. I'd say overall the only real complaint I have regarding the quality of the guitar is the tuning machines. They feel extremely cheap for a guitar that otherwise feels very solidly built. If you get one, you'll definitely want to replace them with something better. Having said all that, I would definitely consider buying one again if they come out with a model that has a slimmer neck, especially if they are on sale again.

HOW MUCH DOES IT WEIGH
All guitars vary depending on the density of the wood. Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Guitars are generally between 6 and 12 lbs. They can be more. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. I'm sorry but I don't have one to weigh. This will be approximately 7.5 – 8.0 lbssubmitteda year ago
