I bought my SE Mira from a diffetent online retailer. I wanted to share my findings so far after 3 weeks. Fit and finish are excellent. The cherry red finish is very well done. I can find no blemishes or drips. The 10" radius "wide-thin" neck is a great fit for my medium-small hands. I've been playing an Epi Les Paul with 12" radius, so no problem making the change The back of the neck is a gloss finish.but it hasn't been a problem. I dig the 25" scale - right between Fender and Gibson scale. The Mira is strung with 9s, and I'm going to keep the 9s I'm 67, so playability is a big factor for me. By contrast, ny LP is strung with 11s. 10s felt too floppy, and I play a lot of slide. I'll keep the LP for backup and slide. I love the wrap-around bridge with brass saddles. It's solid and flat with no sharp areas to affect palm muting. I adjusted the truss rod to remove a bit of relief. The action is low and the guitar plays great. The 85-15S pickups sound great. They are staying. They sound great with overdrive, but also sound good clean. The middle position split coil sounds are a pleasant surprise. Not as much quack as a Strat, but enough to play Sultans of Swing. Lots of chime! The neck and bridge split coil sounds are similarly useful. I love the single volume and tone controls and the blade selector switch. One of my gripes with the Les Paul is the four-knob layout. I still find it difficult to dial in a tone I like. That may just be the Epi Alnico Classic humbuckers. They sound okay, but not great. They do sound better with some dirt. The Mira's pups have a sweeter top end and have a nice balance than the Epi lacks. I like 'em. The thin mahogany body resonates and reminds me of an SG. I like the high end sparkle. My first PRS. I'm really tempted to sell the Les Paul and get the SE Standard 24-08. I was torn between that and the Mira, but I just love the Mira's shape. It was the right choice. Highly recommended. Very impressed with this guitar.
