I gazed up at the luminous wall of mahogany in my local Webster GC. "Do my eyes decieve me?" I thought. It appears as though that's a seven string. Yet, it has the headatock of a PRS. Surely my eyes betray me. Somehow, it wasn't a mirage. It was a Mark Holcomb 7 PRS. This baby SHREDS. It plays like butter, as you'd expect from a PRS. The Seymore Duncans have a really beefy palm mute and excellent clarity. Sustain for days on this Bad Larry. In my past, I've used Schecter and Ibanez 7 strings, but this... this is a different beast. The tone nob is a little bit wobbly but other than that this thing is built like a tank. I mostly play metal but, the clean tones are bright and exuberant as well. Definitely recommend for anyone that is interested in getting one. Do it. Now. Don't even finish reading this review.

This is only the second 7 string I've purchased. It is such a beautiful instrument but it sounds terrible; tinny and faint. There has to be something wrong with the electronics as the volume varies each time I play it. I've seen support threads with other owners with a similar issue.
