PRS
Description

PRS Guitars is proud to offer the SE Santana, a solidbody electric guitar that provides the tone and feel of Carlos Santana's revered American-made PRS models at a fraction of the cost. Its all-mahogany construction yields warm, detailed tones ideal for melodic soloing or rhythm playing. A 24.5" scale length and 24 frets give you ample room to explore.

Santana "S" Humbuckers Capture a Signature Sound

The SE Santana is equipped with a pair of PRS-designed Santana "S" humbucking pickups. These pickups were developed with input from Carlos Santana himself to recreate the thick, sustaining tone and clarity of his signature model. Roll back the tone for a warm, vintage flavor or crank it up for searing lead tones.

PRS Quality and Playability at an Affordable Price

While budget-friendly, the SE Santana does not sacrifice quality. It features a PRS patented tremolo bridge and tuners, which provide rock-solid intonation and tuning stability. The mahogany neck has a comfortable wide-fat profile and is topped with a rosewood fingerboard featuring PRS's iconic bird inlays in mother-of-pearl. Subtle yet artistic binding around the body and fingerboard gives this guitar a high-end look.

Portable and Ready to Play

The SE Santana comes with a padded gig bag, making it easy to transport to gigs or jam sessions. Plug it in and you'll be ready to tackle Santana classics or forge your own signature sound.

I'll admit, I don't play out much and haven't played this guitar out yet, but, the tones I get through my small boutique from these pick ups blow me away. It's easy to get great sounds from this one. I like where the volume and tone controls are located, I won't be hitting them while playing hard. As mentioned, the three way switch rattled, it seemed the hole that the hinge pin on the lever itself was too large. The switch functioned perfectly, but I replaced it myself. The fit and finish is otherwise outstanding! Fret work is great, Trem works flawlessly. The wide/fat neck shape matches my Singlecut Trem core model in shape and feel. It is nice that it came with a quality gig bag, many guitars at this price point do not. If you are looking to get started with PRS quality, this is a great place to start. If you are looking for a worthy addition to the collection, look no further, this one will not dissipointed!

This description says "soapbar pickups " but it is not pictured with them. So which PRS pickups actually are installed on this Santana guitar that Guitar Center is selling?

I am very sorry for the confusion. They're humbuckers. Thank you for pointing that out. I will pass it on to our web team.

How "Blemished " is Blemished? Is it the mismatched pin strip flame top, or is there something that does not show in the photos?

    Open Reply - Thomas
I’m sorry, we don’t know what the blemish is. The blemishes will be perhaps minor scratches, average handling wear. There will be no effect on playability or sound. BLEMISHED: Gear returned in great condition, with only minor signs of use, such as slight scuffs or pick marks. It looks and plays like new and may be considered an equivalent to display units found in retail stores. Includes 45-Day, No-Hassle Returns Includes full manufacturer's warranty Includes 2-Year Free Warranty on all guitars and basses Gold coverage plan available for 1 or 2 years coverage
