The SE 245 Standard | PRS Guitars

The PRS SE 245 Standard electric guitar provides exceptional value in a vintage-flavored singlecut. With its mahogany body and 245 "S" humbuckers, this gig-ready ax delivers a focused tone that's eminently recordable. Its 24.5" scale length and Wide Fat neck profile keep the action slinky under your fingers. This modern classic is perfect as a first guitar or a lifetime companion.
245 "S" Humbuckers Provide Classic Voice
The PRS SE 245 Standard owes its warm, woody tone to its namesake 245 "S" humbucking pickups. Reminiscent of the most sought-after '50s electrics, these full-bodied pickups offer endless sustain and harmonically rich overtones. Simply roll back the volume knob to uncover a whole palette of vintage-inspired sounds from chimey cleans to gritty rock leads.
All-Mahogany Body Resonates with Sustain
The PRS SE 245 Standard's all-mahogany body provides the foundation for its articulate tone and singing sustain. Lightweight, balanced, and highly resonant, mahogany's characteristic warmth and depth is ideal for crafting a guitar with vintage appeal. Its set-in mahogany neck further enhances resonance and stability.
Ergonomic Neck Profile Keeps You Playing Comfortably
With its Wide Fat neck profile, rosewood fretboard, and 24.5" scale length, the PRS SE 245 Standard is built for comfort and playability. Its shorter scale makes bending and vibrato a breeze while its broad neck fills the hand. Topped by PRS's distinctive bird inlays, the rosewood fretboard offers a smooth playing surface so you can glide up and down the neck with ease.
Premium Components and Appointments
From its PRS-designed stoptail bridge and tuners to its flawless Tobacco Sunburst finish, the PRS SE 245 Standard exhibits PRS's signature high quality. A complement of premium components come together to create an instrument that looks, plays, and sounds like a far more expensive guitar.

I'm a gibson guy, but this prs for the money u can't beat. Feels like a gibson with a super thick neck and body. Sounds amazing too.
Best single cut you are going to find for the price.

This is by far the best single cut you are going to get for the price. Nice articulate pickups, even under serious gain, cool bridge setup that seems to really sustain well, and beautiful fretwork. The tuners are nice enough that I have no desire to replace them, and with the straight string pull at the headstock, the tuning stays put. You could easily put this guitar up against a "brand name" single cut twice the price and it would eat it for breakfast. Only potential downside I could see for some people - the neck is pretty thick and wide, and if you don't like a substantial neck, you probably won't like this guitar. If you have smaller hands, I would suggest going in store and playing one before pulling the trigger. Also, the wood patterns on the standard series is widely variable, from amazing almost flame-y, to no figure at all. Again, it'd be wise to see it in person before, but in any case it's still amazing that PRS can build these so well at this price point.

Going from my Gibson LP to this I'm beyond impressed. Such an amazing guitar for the price. Not only does it feel great in the hand but sounds amazing as well. Couldn't be happier with this purchase as I plan to use it as my daily practice guitar. Look better than the picture in person.

Bought brand new. My fault for not inspecting it more fully and buying a better guitar. The craftsmanship is very good. Feels great in your hand. The intonation on mine is barely able to be set properly. The bridge was offset when it was made. It is never perfectly tuned. Shame on PRS and GC for sending out an unplayable guitar. EF YOU BOTH!!!
