PRS

Description

The PRS Private Stock Modern Eagle V is a crowning achievement in guitar design. The body is made of exotic black limba with a curly maple top, finished in high gloss nitrocellulose lacquer. The pattern-shape black limba neck fits in your hands perfectly and is accented by curly maple binding. The wood choice alone makes this PRS truly heirloom-quality; add in old-style bird inlays made with green select abalone outlined in mother of pearl, and you'll have a guitar that is visually like no other.

Paul Reed Smith outfitted the Modern Eagle V with dual 408B humbuckers and a narrow single coil in the middle. It's an extremely versatile combination for a wide variety of tones. Select the pickups with the 5-way blade switch. A push/pull activates both humbuckers—each can be split with individual mini-toggles. The third mini-toggle switch changes the value of the volume pot from 500k to 250k.

All hardware is smoked black, from the Gen III tremolo with locking saddles to the PRS Phase III locking tuners with ebony buttons. The PRS Private Stock Modern Eagle V is available in a very limited run, and comes with a paisley hardshell case and a hand-signed certificate of authenticity.
