PRS HDRX 1x12 Guitar Amp Speaker Cabinet Black

The PRS HDRX 1x12 guitar amp speaker cabinet is a 70-watt, closed-back cabinet that delivers the full spectrum of sound that PRS is known for in a portable and rugged package. Pair it with a PRS HDRX tube amp head for a rig that channels the spirit of Jimi Hendrix. The Celestion V-type 12" speaker pumps out balanced, vintage-inspired tone with crisp highs and airy lows for a sound that is expressive yet never boxy.
Closed-Back Design Provides Full, Rich Tone
The PRS HDRX 1x12 cabinet features a closed-back design that contains the speaker's soundwaves, producing a focused tone that loses none of its richness or depth. While open-back cabs can sound more ambient, the closed-back design of the HDRX 1x12 gives guitarists a tight, controlled sound suitable for any musical situation.
Celestion V-Type Speaker Delivers Legendary Tone
At the heart of the PRS HDRX 1x12 cab is a single Celestion V-type 12" speaker, renowned for its warm yet defined vintage sound. The V-type speaker delivers crisp highs, thick lows, and an overall balanced tone that suits a wide range of musical styles. Combined with the closed-back cabinet design, the V-type speaker produces a focused tone with the depth and dimension that Celestion drivers are known for.
Rugged and Portable
While the PRS HDRX 1x12 cab exudes a vintage vibe, it is built to contemporary standards with a rugged build quality and portability in mind. The cabinet's black covering and vintage-styled knit grille cloth give it a classic look, but its plywood construction and durable hardware ensure it can handle the rigors of transporting to and from gigs. At under 50 pounds, the 1x12 cab can also be moved single-handedly while still containing a 12" speaker capable of handling 70 watts of power.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well this cab sounded especially for the price point. It's really light weight as well. I don't think the 50lb claim is correct. It's feels more like 25lb. I actually pair my PRS MT 15 amp with it as I primarily play punk and metal. Sounds killer. I'm thinking about getting a 2nd one to go full stereo.

What does HDRX mean? Also what type of music is best to be played in this cabinet? I will use a DV MICRO 50 JAZZ HEAD WITH THIS CABINET. How will it sound with the Jazz head?
I’m very sorry, the manufacturer has not made that information available It'll sound good with anything. Size has very little to do with sound.
