You people need to realize there are a lot of things to take into consideration. This stand is a LIGHT weight stand, if it can't support your china cymbal, that's your own fault for not finding the correct center of gravity so it won't fall. I play for a hardcore band, which incorporates a LOT of use of the crash cymbal, I use a 16" and 18" crash on each of my two stands I've purchased along with a 20" ride on my third stand, all are the Pacific 700 Boom stand, the only time they fall over are when my guitarists lean on my kit and accidently bump it. Great stand, just find the right center of gravity and tighten it up like a man!

post disorder poop pdp boom cymbal stand
church needed a boom stand and I didn't have a lot to spend, pdp name affixed to dw was thinking maybe at least a good stand. WRONG. glad I was only mounting only a 14" crash on it. small amount of extension on the arm and any kind of larger cymbal would have tipped it over.

Using it for chimes. Just the right length to get the chimes at the edge of the drums.

Sturdy enough to hold a 16 cymbal with the boom arm , horizontal and extended more than half way.

Nice light stands. Will use with my medium thin crashes. They are plenty sturdy for that use.

This is a really nice stand for the price. Light weight but sturdy. Nice if you play in clubs a lot and don't want to carry around more than you really need. The gears lock nicely and it has nylon bushings. Straight or boom you can't go wrong buying this stand.
