I didn't see this coming. I was down a YouTube rabbit hole and stumbled across this Orange I'd never heard of. I was intrigued, and the price was right, so I ordered one. This has got to be the best compact and affordable clean machine on the market. It sounds freakin fantastic, and the sheer volume it's capable of for a 40 watt solid state amp is ludicrous. With my humbucker equipped main guitar, it does not start to break up until 1-2 o'clock on the amp volume. At that point it's loud enough to get you fired from a lot of today's gigs. You definitely buy this for the clean sound and/or to use as a pedal platform. Reverb is very good. It's digital, but sounds quite springy. At extreme settings it's overbearing and washes everything out. Kinda like a lot of old tube amps we love. But lower in the dial it's useable and then some. I wish the trem went slower, but it's not the end of the world. It's still a very good sounding effect. This might be the best grab and go compact clean headroom amp on the market. I will be gigging this little guy a LOT. Imagine a Princeton Reverb with a load more headroom and volume, midrange control, more (and much tighter and punchier) low end, and almost ten pounds lighter. It's the unicorn I've been hunting for about thirty years. Nice job, Orange!!
Solid Rock Amp.... as straight forward as it gets!

I know this is going to sound crazy since this is a "one channel amp", but I think sound wise it is the most versatile amp I own. the cleans and reverb are very straight forward and your pickup selector actually makes a huge difference. The reverb is great, I'm not a huge fan of the tremolo but it does what it's supposed to do. Plug in your favorite distortion pedal and I can't even explain how great it sounds. Best of all, it sounds great and full at very low volume for home practice but is extremely loud for gigging. This amp doesn't disappoint!
