Orange Amplifiers

collapse expand iconDescription

The Orange Amplifiers Crush Bass 50 is a 50W bass combo amplifier ideal for bassists seeking vintage Orange tone in a compact, lightweight package. Loaded with a 12" speaker and analog solid-state circuitry, this amp delivers the bold and punchy bass response Orange is known for. The Crush Bass 50 is perfect for practice, rehearsal, and performance, with 50 watts of power and an ultra-portable design weighing only 40 pounds.

Shape Your Sound With Active EQ

An active 3-band EQ with sweepable midrange control provides complete tonal flexibility. Dial in deep lows, clear highs, and a midrange scoop for modern tones or boost the mids for a vintage grind. The Crush Bass 50's gain and blend controls add saturation and distortion for an aggressive edge or bi-amped effect.

Practice in Silence With Cabsim Output

The Crush Bass 50 features an integrated chromatic tuner and headphone output with Orange's Cabsim technology for silent practice. Cabsim emulates the sound of a mic'd Orange 4x10 cabinet for an authentic experience without making a sound.

Jam Along With Aux Input

An auxiliary input allows you to connect media devices and jam along to your favorite songs. Play along to recordings of your band or just use the Crush Bass 50 as a speaker system for your tunes.

Gig and Record Ready

In addition to 50 watts of power for rehearsal and performance, the Crush Bass 50 provides line out and speaker out jacks to connect to external cabinets or interfaces for recording. Weighing only 40 pounds, this amp is ideal for gigging bassists seeking a lightweight yet full-featured solution.

If you just need distortion!!

Had high hopes!!! For me..Its not Great it's not bad!!! It's just.. Blah Blah.. If you play heavy distortion songs... You will probably like it a lot.. Buts that's all it can do well... I own a cheap Ampeg practice amp... That I paid $120.00 at Guitar Center..and sounds better than this Crush 50.. For the money..its not worth it..better options out there..

As I said, I'm just picking up bass again after more years than I want to admit to. I used to have a Fender Bassman 50. This Orange crush 50 is beautiful

I use this for at home practice. I suppose it could be used in rehearsals or small gigs if your drummer isn't too energetic, but I think I would go for the 100-watt version if I was going to be using it for that regularly. I love the blend feature that allows you to mix a little of the dirty signal with the clean (I find it works best with a mostly clean sound). It gives you a bi-amping effect without having to run two amps. I'm also fond of the built-in tuner, finally one that works!

I keep seeing foot switch sold separately. I dont see a drop down menu to order it though. Is it really necessary? I'll just be using it at home.

It's not required, it's just for easier switching.
