JamCube works great for me, I take it to play CD at luau venues that we dance at. Sound is great and transports easily. Haven't figured remote control out yet, hope it will make it easier so I can be away from PA system to control it.

I compared a lot of different products before choosing this one. I special ordered it and when i got it home i was singularly unimpressed for the price. The sound was much flatter than expected from a 200w MAX pa. So.. being the electronicly inclined type i took it apart to find out why. I expected the cheaply made circuit boards, but i was surprised by the amplifier. Mathematicaly you could push 200w out if you where only trying to achieve a square wave (this limit is due to the powersupply voltage into the speekers). I wish i could remember the part number but the real total rms power output of this pa is less than 30w at 10% distortion (wich for most people is not a useable distortion level), mainly because of the amplifier. For reffrence a tipical car stereo should drive about the same amount of power into a single speeker 25w rms @ 10% distortion 50w max (for a 200w max 4 speeker car stereo). The jamcube box makes it sound a little better than a single car speeker but not enough to make it worth the price.

Can this be connected to a computer for recording or streaming? Is there equipment that can do both live, in person performance and virtual, recorded voiceovers?
