Great Sound. Easy To Use
I love my DP-32SD. I used to have a VS-880 a long while back. The Tascam was a replacement for that unit. It's much easier to use and the sound quality of the recordings is great. There was a review here saying that the volumes are too low, but I have not had that problem at all. I'm able to transfer my files to the computer and do my final edit with great results. The only thing I found lacking in comparison to the VS-880 were the on board effects. The VS-880 had a much wider library. But that was easily fixed for me by using an external vocal effects processor and an external guitar processor.

Real Nice Studio, but could use Higher Definition Audio
I've used my DP32SD for about two months, now. I was using an analog Tascam 488 MkII before this one. The DP32 sounds good, but seems to be lacking the highs of audio. My Marshall amp screams tone and sustain, but the DP32 can't capture all of the tone because it lacks the highs. My little Tascam DR40 sounds better because it can record 24bit at 96k. So, the DP32 is missing a lot of tone in my guitar after recording. I was really disappointed as this portastudio is supposed to be Tascam's best studio to date. Also, this thing was made in China, and it's already broken. The assign, mixer, menu, home, eq, jog dial buttons do not work. One day these buttons just stopped working with no explanation. Now, I'm having to take it to Audio Electronics for them to fix. Tascam should've kept there business in Japan where it was top notch quality.

Musicians Friend sent me the wrong item and so I have to return the unit they sent(I am 120 miles round trip to the post office) and I am currently waiting for them to have the item back in stock, so far I have been waiting about two weeks since I ordered the item and I am expecting to wait about another 11 days. I am actually not too impressed with Musician's Friend at all.
Great machine for multi track recording

I bought this 3 month's ago. It more than fits the bill. Once I record the tracks I transfer the files into Pro-Tools on my computer and master the finished mix in Sound Forge 12. This board is clean and quiet. I swapped the 4gb SanDisk card out for a 32gb SanDisk card which gives me 116 minutes of recording time.

I purchased the DP-32. I like every function. However, the SD card included is not a 32gb card. It is only a 4gb card and only holds about 6 minutes of information. I put in an SD 64gb card, formatted it and it indicated 116 minutes of data space. When I bought this item, I was under the assumption that it came with an SD32gb SanDisk card. "NOT". Formatting my SanDisk SD64gb card, took about 15 minutes but that's OK. I also tried to format a SanDisk SD-128 & 256 gb card but with no results after a 24 hour time. TASCAM needs to include that the unit comes with a 4gb SanDisk SD-4gb card. I record my tracks on the Tascam board, put the SD-64 in my computer and use Pro Tools to mix the session. Add effects then transfer the files to my Sound Forge 12 software to master the stereo files before burning CD's and creating mp3 files to websites. Other then that, I give a 5 star rating for this product.

I own the Tascam DP3, 24, and just recently purchased the DP32SD. I love the recording quality of the unit and have never had a problem. I use a lot of tracks on my work and and have had great reviews on my music productions from my Tascam gear! Easy to get used to working with, and it's set up is very user friendly! Overall you can't beat it for the low affordable cost and the pro sound quality!
