Open Box Supro 1605R Reverb 5W 1x8 Tube Guitar Combo Amp Level 1

Description
The WET output provides 100% wet reverb signal; the DRY output provides 100% dry signal from the preamp; and the MIX output carries a blend of dry and reverb signals that can be attenuated by a variable level control on the MIX output. When the WET output is used, the reverb signal is removed from the onboard speaker output, allowing the player to pass the reverb sound along to another amplifier while still hearing the gain from the 1605R’s tube preamp in the onboard 8 in. speaker. When the DRY output is used, the unaffected sound of the guitar is removed from the onboard speaker output, allowing the player to pass the gained up dry sound along to another amplifier while still hearing the reverb effect in the onboard 8” speaker.
In order to capture the sound of the vintage Jensen speaker found in the original Supro amps of the early 1960s, the 1605R Reverb model features a custom-made 8 in. speaker that was designed by Eminence and Supro with help from Iowa State University, where Supro was able to laser scan and recreate the speaker cone from a “golden sample” of a Jensen speaker from the company's favorite vintage Supro amplifier.

Great sounding amp

This little amp has a great sound that's bigger than it should be for the size and wattage. The 8in speaker sounds pretty good in the room, and mics up great. I have been running it through my 2x12 with a WGS Veteran 30 and ET65. It sounds HUGE through the cab. Great amp. Love it.
A little pricey imo

The manufacturing flaw I mentioned in the 'Cons' section is the small amount of space in back of the amp. There are ample options for output as set forth in description sections you may have read: here's the problem...suppose you want to feed into a speaker cabinet. You want to use a 1/4" speaker cable, NOT a guitar cable, right? Right. I have yet to see an angled speaker cable and you NEED one because of space limitations between the output jack which is positioned so that you have to jack out vertically and you REALLY have to position the jack rather awkwardly and quite frankly I don't fancy the idea of ruining a perfectly good and slightly pricey 1/4 inch speaker cable. The only angled jacks I could find were designed for instrument cables. Try soldering 12 gauge wire onto a jack designed for say 14; 16 or smaller. It didn't go well for me. As far as I'm concerned, these, like the Fender Champ 600 are grossly overpriced. It's a nice little amp but they need to be redesigned so that the otherwise pretty cool output section can be used without a lot of hassle; swearing and aggravation in general. I am reviewing from
