I have two drum mics for my hand-crafted cajon, one mounted inside and an external mic is at the bass port. I use the Y cable to tie the two together. Sounds great. Obviously, the only thing lacking is individual mic volume control, but I decided to keep it simple and I don't hear a need for separate controls.

Can 2 dynamic mics share the same channel with this splitter cable?
You could use this splitter for that purpose.
