Great Throne for Guitar, Keyboard, and Cello

This is the best "chair" I have found for playing musical instruments. It works excellently for classical guitar, electric cello, and synth. Way better than a classic piano bench or a dining room chair. I'm 5'8" and the lowest height works well for me. I do not lock down the seat wing nut which allows it to rotate freely. I'm not sure if that's how it is intended to be used, but I like the seat to rotate, particularly when playing electric cello. I did squirt a bunch of silicon grease where the seat connects to the tripod - that made is rotate very smoothly. Bottom line: great stand. Very stable. Firm cushioning. Does not interfere with posture or instrument positioning. Buy with confidence.

It works

It does what it is supposed to do, but the padding is too thin/firm. As a bigger guy, I can only play for 20-30 minutes before feeling like I've been on a bicycle for awhile! Do yourself a favor and spend a bit more for a nicer throne. Again, the throne does do what it should do. It's solid, built really well, and easy to operate. It just isn't comfortable.

Nice throne! Very sturdy. I'm a bit older so I can only take about an hour or so in it, but it could be my posture. Just getting back into the drums after many years, and alot of miles in the body.

  • great size for guitar players too.

It's a pretty decent chair. But don't take for kids, because it can be too high.
