Better than I expected
Had been looking at "regular" cases at the local GC and saw this online. Looked comparable but priced noticeably lower so figured I'd give it a shot. Fits my dreadnought acoustic really well (even a bit of room above the head stock), seems like a solidly built case all around. No issues with the latches. I like the little "feet" along the end and sides to keep it off the ground just a bit. Seems equivalent to the namebrand cases I saw in the store but saved some money.

Good design bad quality
I ordered this case when Guitar Center listed it for less than $50 in December 2021.I jumped on than deal.Unfortunately, the aluminium binding on the top and bottom of the case would not seal/close properly.Guitar Center's customer service made it easy to return the defective case with a prepaid UPS shipping label.I had to pay for the case again to get reduced price, but I decided it was probably a fluke problem-Wrong!The 2nd case has the same issue.Looks like the 2nd case got "whammed" at the exterior at the head stock end of the case, causing it to gap making latching and closing difficult.I'm not returning the 2nd case-I'll just live with the defect. With 2 out of 2 cases being defective, I wonder if the low price I paid is for a batch of cases like the ones I received.I don't know. Sometimes you get what you pay for...

This is used for a dread guitar I built from a stewmac kit. The case fits fine. The latches are a little rough, but the case is a good deal for the price.
Used to be a great bargain. Still a good case.

These are really good cases for the average amateur/semi- professional to protect your deadnaughts around house and for light travel on the road. I've bought a bunch of them over time. However, they have DOUBLED in price on the SDOTD since the pandemic (at least beginning when inflation got out of control) I have a hard time now paying double for them when it feels like their current price is a gouge.
Good case

The description states that this case accommodates most common full-size dreadnought acoustic guitars, and the specs show that the instrument body depth: 3.75". Most acoustic guitars would be quite deeper than that. I have Guild D-2612CE guitar, and it measures 4 3/4". Does that mean it will not fit into this case?

Will this case fit a Yamaha FS800. Will the case be too big? I see that you said it can fit dreadnaughts. The Yamaha FS800 is smaller.
Open Box Musician's Gear MGMADN Molded ABS Acoustic Guitar Case - Yes it will fit. I apologize for the confusion but I would not recommend this for a dreadnought.submitted3 years ago
