Designed for Modern Music Production

The M-Audio Forty Eighty monitors are built for today's producer, beatmaker, DJ, mix engineer and content creator. Their bi-amplified 150W design with an 8" Kevlar woofer and 1.25" soft dome tweeter provides the power and frequency response needed for any genre. The rear-ported cabinet delivers deep, extended bass that remains tight and defined. When using these monitors, you can trust that what you hear in the studio will sound outstanding everywhere else.

Tailor the Sound to Your Space

The M-Audio Forty Series Control app provides the tools to optimize these monitors for your creative environment. Access customizable EQ presets to match your room's acoustics or create your own using the 5-band EQ. Tweak the level of the XLR and TRS inputs to integrate the monitors seamlessly into your setup. With the app, you have the flexibility to shape translatable sound that's perfect for your productions.

Switch Between Precision and Enjoyment

While crafting a mix, precision is key. The Forty Eighty's ruler-flat response mode provides an accurate representation of your sound so you can make critical decisions. When you want to sit back and experience your creation, switch to Hype mode. It emulates the frequency curve of consumer products like earbuds and car stereos so you can hear how your mix may sound to listeners. This useful feature adds enjoyment without sacrificing the technical capabilities that let you achieve a professional result.

Bluetooth Streaming for Seamless Sound

The Forty-Eighty monitors feature Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity for wireless audio streaming from any device. Fill your space with rich, full-range sound for casual listening or while taking a break from work. Bluetooth streaming provides an immersive listening experience without dealing with cables. When crafting your mix, easily switch back to the wired inputs for the transparent fidelity needed in a studio environment. With these monitors, you get the best of both worlds.

Bought one of these this morning to primarily use as a bluetooth monitor. The first thing that caught my attention was the bass response! Gutsy bass for an 8" driver. I love this thing. The app is OK, but the monitor is fantastic!

Purchased this monitor for my Roland e-drum kit and the clarity of sound is amazing. Got the pair and now am going to add a powered sub to enhance the bass and richness. Highly recommend these monitors!

Am looking for something decent sound for house party, coming from HIFI getting into this pro Audio products, it's close for what I need. Out of the box it's sound is very good, setting on flat, the base is palpable in a very good way, I will say it's almost balanced, it's pleasant to listen to. It can get too loud even less than 9 o'clock. Sound is robust for this pair ,room-filling non distorted sound, exactly what I needed for my application. Very close to my Pioneer DJ VM 80. Kevlar/ Aramid fiber woofer with thick cabinet really makes the difference. I don't want to comment on durability and reliability just yet, time will tell. Connected to Yamaha 12 ch mixer via xlr.

Set-up and connectivity is self-explanatory. Sound is amazing, and you don't need an additional subwoofer for bass since it goes down to 32 Hz. I love the design too with the silver on black.
