I use this bass for practice as I am currently taking bass lessons at the GC in La Mesa GC and for jamming along with songs. This bass has a great sound, it has many different types of sounds I can get from the 4 separate gnurled knobs. These knobs add to the cool retro look, great turquiose sparkle color including the matching head stock.

This bass is fantastic! I bought the Turquoise model and love the color, especially with the matching headstock. The fit and finish is perfect and it has such a wide array of tones with the P/J pick ups. The bound neck was very well done and adds a touch of class. Setup was perfect out of the box and I didn't have to adjust a thing. Neck was straight, action was low, frets were level and very smooth at the edges, there wasn't the slights bit of buzz anywhere. Even the intonation was spot on, all I had to do was tune it up. The neck was very glossy and I didn't get along with that at all, my had tends to stick to glossy necks. I much prefer a satin finish. A couple of swipes with a green Scotch Brite pad and it felt a lot better. Enough better that I knew I wouldn't be sending it back so a few more swipes with the pad and it was perfect. I think it's now the slickest neck on any guitar or bass I own. There is a hint of neck dive due to the shortened upper horn compared to say a Jazz body but it's not a deal breaker. I still may replace the tuners with Hipshot Ultralites and that should eliminate it completely but there's no hurry on it. It would just make a great bass even better.
