Description
It connects to your iPhone/iPod touch/iPad or Mac via Bluetooth with control up to 10 meters away, and when you press its footswitches, it sends out control signals that are converted to MIDI by the iRig BlueBoard app. The control messages sent from iRig BlueBoard to AmpliTube or other Core MIDI music apps can include bank up/down, MIDI continuous controllers, as well as parameter changes on apps such as IK's AmpliTube, VocaLive, SampleTank, and iGrand Piano iOS apps plus many others, such as Apple GarageBand.
iRig BlueBoard features four backlit soft-touch pads housed in a sturdy, stage-worthy chassis, two TRS expansion jacks for connecting additional MIDI controllers like expression pedals, and is powered by four standard AAA batteries. Each pad has an additional LED that lights when the pad is active, letting you know exactly which control is on. And since it's backlit, you can easily see it on a dark stage or performance venue for quick and accurate access.

I love this thing, easy to connect to my ipad and runs my pedals just like I had hoped. No lag, quick to change when pressed. I use this for live music and this allowed me to remove the small pedal board that was there and use the effects I want to use. I use this with Bias FX but had have other simulator apps that it works with as well. Shipped fast and was a good price.
Blue no more.

Pros: No cables. Sends CC and PC midi messages. Cons: Slight delay when using to switch effects on and off. Buttons are too soft. I returned this item. I prefer mechanical switches and the instant change of effects that a usb connected controller can provide.

Ideal for use with amp modeling such as Amplitube, even within a DAW such as Logic. Works flawlessly. If using a computer you need Bluetooth v4 (capable of low power). Two outputs for midi expression pedals, which work flawlessly as well. Using this with a Macbook Pro (Late 2015), iPad Air (1st gen) and iPhone 6S.
Needs a small change to it's programming

I bought this to replace a Griffin Stompbox (which they stopped selling) that has a 30 pin connector to use with an iPhone 6 plus (with a lightning connector). I was looking forward to bigger, easier to see and use buttons, which it has. The device does not support a "next" and "previous" function. I use this with JamUp Pro and want to use the buttons to go to the next patch and/or the previous patch but it isn't programmed to function that way. It functions properly but the way it works doesn't make sense from a musician standpoint. Once they tweak the programming, it should work fine. Here's hoping that the programming gets tweaked.

Will the IK Multimedia Blueboard MIDI work as a footswitch for Positive Grid Spark 40 amp! Control the 4 patches, with their modulation, Gain and other features like the Aistep Spark Switch? Or is there another footswitch with MIDI for Spark you suggest. Thanks, CHARLIE, Edge City Orchestra
