What type of speakers would go with this controller other than these for louder sound?
The Hercules DJ DJStarter Kit comes with small monitor speakers that are fine for bedroom DJing or practice, but they lack the power for louder environments like parties or larger rooms. If you're looking to upgrade for louder and better sound, here are some types of speakers that would work well with the controller: 🔌 Powered (Active) PA Speakers – Best for loud sound without needing an amplifier These have built-in amplifiers and can connect directly to your controller's output via RCA-to-TRS or RCA-to-XLR cables. Good options: JBL 305P MkII – Affordable studio monitors with solid clarity (for home/studio use, not loud parties). Mackie Thump 12A or 15A – Loud, bass-heavy, and gig-ready. Yamaha DBR10 / DBR12 – Clear, reliable powered PA speakers. Alto TS312 / TS315 – Very loud and cost-effective PA speakers. 🔈 Studio Monitors (Larger Ones) – Great for clarity and mixing If you want loud sound and detail, go for larger studio monitors. Good picks: KRK Rokit 8 G4 Yamaha HS8 Adam T7V or T8V These will be much louder and clearer than the Hercules speakers but are more suited for studio work than party-level output. The Hercules DJControl Starlight only has RCA outputs, so make sure your new speakers can accept RCA, TRS, or XLR inputs (most PA speakers do). You may need RCA to 1/4" TRS or RCA to XLR cables.submitted3 months ago

What needs to be connected to this device to get the best experience?
To get the best experience out of the Hercules DJ DJStarter Kit, here’s everything you should connect and set up properly: Connect to: Laptop/Desktop Computer: via USB cable (usually included). Purpose: This powers the controller and allows it to control your DJ software (like Serato DJ Lite or DJUCED). DJ Software: Install and launch Serato DJ Lite (free version, often bundled), or use DJUCED if you prefer. Controller’s RCA Output: Using RCA to RCA or RCA to 1/8" (3.5mm) cable depending on your speaker input. Power Source: Plug the speakers into a power outlet. Tip: Position the speakers at ear level, angled slightly inward for best sound clarity. Headphones Connect to: Controller’s Headphone Jack (usually a 1/8" or 1/4" jack on the front or side). . Optional but Recommended Add-Ons Powered USB Hub (if you're short on USB ports or want stable power) Laptop Stand (for better ergonomics and controller space) External Soundcard (not required, but higher-end setups benefit from better audio routing) High-quality Audio Cables (to reduce noise or hum).submitted4 months ago

Yes. Plug the Hercules DJ controller's USB cable into the included Hercules extra cable. Then, plug the other end of the Hercules cable into the iPad's power adapter. Finally, plug the Apple Lightning to USB camera adapter into the iPad.submitted2 years ago

Can I use my phone as the input?
It does not work. It requires the software to run it and they don't make it in an app form yet.
