When you purchase a new Shure SM58 microphone, it comes with this standard XLR 20 ft economy cable. For the price, it will definitely work. It has enough insulation to avoid unwanted hiss. The only problem is that the cable connection to the male and female plugs on both ends, tend to wear out quickly. For the price, I recommend this economy cable for an emergency back-up. You never know when, but one day you're out playing and a mic cable decides to die for one reason or another. It is always advisable to carry back-up cables with you just in case. Sometimes, it worth it to pay a little more for something durable that will last you a long time. To sum it up... this is a good emergency back-up cable for the price.

Seem to be a good cable.

Nothing more frustrating to a vocalist then to get up on stage with a brand new microphone mic stand and cable and the cables a piece of junk. Wasn't even worth my time trying to ship it back and get another cable I just moved on and got a better cable from a different company. The only reason I'm leaving this comment is because you asked for it. Save yourself the grief during a gig and buy a cable somewhere else.
