Just got back into music and recording from home, and I needed a second mic stand. I thought it would be handy to have the smaller stand to mic my bass amp with. When I opened the box, I was surprised to find 4 XLR cables, when I was only expecting one, and two very well-built, heavy mic stands. I highly recommend this package deal to anyone in need of a basic mic stand for home recording.

The boom stand is pretty amazing, it is an extra long boom, not super heavy, I use it for an overhead mic. I love it the mic cables are pretty good, 20 feet long and 4 of them The short stand is perfect for the bass drum. awesome deal.

I needed a mic stand and a couple of cords to augment my home studio, and for the price of a typical stand, I got 2 stands and 4 cables! I was afraid they would be terrible quality, but I have no complaints. I tested all the cords, noise free and work fine. The stands are actually pretty decent, and I love the telescoping boom - great for easily adjusting a delicate mic position, like acoustic guitar. Shorty is great for kick drum or speaker cabinet mic. You can never have too many stands, and this is a great deal!

These stands are obviously pretty cheap but much better than I expected for the price point. I strongly believe that, when in the studio, you can't have too many mics, cables or stands. The stands are decent. The cables are quiet and way better than what you'd get at Radio Shack. Again, not great but could be far worse for the money. I wouldn't recommend for use during a live show or for critical applications but if you're using a $3k Neumann for vocals, you're probably not looking at this.
