The GWE-Elec Hardshell Electric Guitar Case by Gator Cases is built to withstand the rigors of transporting your electric guitar to gigs and practice spaces. Constructed from durable plywood and covered in a protective Tolex material, the GWE-Elec case shields your guitar from bumps, scratches and weather. The plush interior padding cradles your guitar to prevent damage from impacts, while an interior accessory compartment gives you space to organize picks, cables and more. For added security, the GWE-Elec case features locking latches to keep your guitar safe when unattended.

Durable Plywood and Tolex Provide Maximum Protection

The GWE-Elec case is built from high-quality plywood, one of the most rugged and impact-resistant materials available. The plywood is covered in a water-resistant Tolex PVC material that protects against dings, dents and moisture. This durable combination can withstand the rigors of transporting your guitar to practice spaces, recording studios and performance venues. Your guitar will stay safe and protected inside this road-ready hardshell case.

Plush Padding Cushions Your Guitar

The interior of the GWE-Elec case features thick plush padding that gently cradles your guitar. Extra padding in the neck cradle supports the sensitive neck joint area. This high-density foam padding absorbs impacts and prevents your guitar from shifting around, keeping it safe during transport in vehicles and handling. Your guitar will stay cozy and protected inside this plush interior.

Interior Compartment Stores Accessories

For added convenience, the GWE-Elec case includes an interior accessory compartment. This spacious compartment gives you room to store important items like guitar picks, cables, straps, tuners and string sets. Keep all your guitar necessities in one place for easy access before and after practice or performances. The accessory compartment adds useful storage space without compromising the safety and protection of your guitar.

Locking Latches Deter Tampering

For extra security, the GWE-Elec case comes equipped with locking latches. These heavy-duty latches securely lock your guitar inside the case to prevent tampering or theft when the case is unattended. Locking latches give you peace of mind that your guitar will remain safe even when the case is out of your sight. Keep your guitar protected from prying eyes with the GWE-Elec's locking latch system.

Perfect For In Home And Studio Use On A Budget

Ok, for the price what do you expect? I can't see transporting this case any way other than flat, or on its side with some support like in between other cases, or items to keep it from falling over. I purchased this case for the sole purpose of having a security blanket for a Jackson Adrian Smith SDX which it works perfectly for in the home, this is not an aviation (T.S.A.) travel quality case. If I plan on taking the guitar out of the house, I swap my America Standard Stratocaster molded hard case out, and that gives me the protection I need for transporting either guitar. I also know to lay the case down flat to open/close it as it is somewhat flexible and will not close if not flat. I was actually expecting worse considering some of the reviews I read, but was willing to see what I got for the money. Guitar Center's return policy makes it easy to do just that. The case is one of those 'you get what you pay for' deals, so don't expect $125.00 quality at half the price. A pair of keys were included, and the interior is plush enough, clean and did not have any foul chemical odor. No loose vinyl, or bad stitching. All hardware is securely and properly attached. My Jackson Adrian Smith fits perfectly, and any standard scale Stratocaster style guitar should as well, as long as it does not have a reverse angled headstock. I'm sure Telecaster style guitars will fit just as well too. I was also surprised with the amount of space in the storage compartment. Straps, pedals, accessories, books, etc. will all fit as there is plenty of room. Five stars because I knew what I was buying, and got a little more than I expected for the small amount of money the case costs. If my guitar cost more than $500.00, I would spend more on the case. This was all I needed, so it works for me.

A Little Flimsy . . . Not That There's Anything Wrong With That

I'll put in with the other reviewers here. The case is a little on the flimsy side, but well-made nonetheless. Decent quality materials, looks good, well-balanced and easy to carry, and all hinges/latches work as advertised. If you're after a light-duty case to keep the dust off your guitar and to keep it from getting knocked around at home, this is your huckleberry. Keep it out of the back of the equipment truck and it will do just fine when it's time to leave the house. Even so, I wouldn't even think about using it for an expensive or well-loved instrument. I bought this case for a G&L Ascari and it wasn't quite deep enough. Not a problem though because it ended up being a perfect fit for a PRS SE Paul Allender (really, almost as if it was designed for this guitar). As it turns out, it is also a near-perfect fit for an Epiphone Nighthawk Custom Reissue. The only difference here is that I put a folded polishing cloth in the neck cradle to give the pitched headstock a little extra clearance. So now I have two of these cases and I would buy a third if I had need of one. Not a bad case for the money and for its intended light-duty use.

I usually hang my guitars at home but if I'm traveling with them I need them protected and for the price point this case was the perfect fit for me. I didn't need something to heavy but just enough for safe transport so if you're in the market for a decent case this would be a great option

Will fit a Omen Schecter guitar

Will fit a Omen Schecter guitar

The Gator GWE-Elec Hardshell Electric Guitar Case is a universal fit case designed for standard-shaped electric guitars like Stratocasters and Telecasters. The Schecter Omen series guitars, while not radically shaped, do have some differences (e.g., more contoured or pointy bodies and extended upper horns) that may cause a tight or imperfect fit. Fit Considerations: Body shape: The Omen’s body is more like a Super Strat, which is often fine in general-purpose cases, but snugness varies. Neck support: If the body doesn't sit flush, neck support may be compromised. Length and width: The GWE-Elec internal dimensions are approx: Length: 39.5" Body Length: 18.75" Lower Bout Width: 12.75" Upper Bout Width: 11.5" Depth: 3" Compare this to your Schecter Omen’s specs: Overall length: ~39.5" Body width: ~12.5" Body depth: ~1.5–2" Conclusion: Yes, it likely will fit, but just barely—and possibly not as securely as in a case made specifically for Super Strat or Schecter shapes. For regular transport and protection, it’s a reasonable budget choice. But if you're gigging heavily or checking the guitar during travel, a form-fitted molded case (like SKB or Schecter-branded) is safer.

I’m sorry, I don’t know. I don't have one to check. The case is not specifically set up to "to keep the headstock off the bottom of the flat part of case" .
