Good heavy duty case
For the money, you simply can't beat gator cases. This one has a hard plastic shell, aluminum valances, and five latches. You have to move up to a flight case to get better protection. It has a nice lush black velvet interior and the inner compartment is standard. recommended.

This case is garbage
Well I knew I needed a case, and after much research, thought I'd settle for this one. I really wish I didn't. First, the lock does not work. So much for a locking case Second, the case does not sit flush, the top pushes back a little to far and the black liner is exposed. Third, the hinges are too loose. Fourth, the clasp locks are way to lose. Holding it empty, the case would slightly crack open. My fear is a simple drop would cause your guitar to come crashing out. This is a very poorly made product. This may sound like an angry review (just irritated I had to wait a week for this, and now I have to drive an hour to my local guitar center to exchange it and order another one) but I'm being honest as possible. This case is garbage, and sadly, I can never trust the Gator name again.

It's very sturdy and tough and easy to use and I don't have to worry about the guitar getting hurt when I go on the road with it. I use it to transport a very expensive and excellent classical guitar that was made by a great luthier in Bonne Illinois.

I bought this case for my Epiphone LP Trad Pro. Its well crafted, the guitar fits like a glove it doesnt have any movement inside, the latches work pretty well and i loved the key detail to open the case so no one can put their hands on your precious guitar Heavy duty, it gets my arm tired! The inside protects very good the finish and the neck takes place without problem The storage box in there is great not a ton of storage but the necessary to store picks a capo slide strap and extra strings Really worth the money!

Great case if you don't pick it up by the handle

I purchased this case, and then exchanged it for a second one, in hopes of protecting my Agile al-2000. It fits perfect, and is nice and snug. However, when you close the case and pick it up by the handle, the case actually gaps open under the handle. This in not acceptable for any guitar case, let alone from a company with such a great reputation. I have SKB, Tour Grade, and a fender case, and none of them have this issue. This second case will be going back today, and I will be looking elsewhere. If I could review all the GC agents I spoke with during this process I would give them a 5 for being insanely nice and helpful.
Too bad it didn't fit!

Well, I should have done more research on LP cases. I have a '78 Ibanez Artist (that I purchased new in '78) and my mis-assumption was that the LP case would be a good fit, but nope! The Artist is just a little wider than the LP (news to me!). Besides that, the case was great!...well constructed, good hinges, binding, and I'm sure, a "glove-like fit" for an LP! Top quality for the price!

Will this case fit an LTD Eclipse 1000?
Yes, the Gator GC-LPS will fit the LTD EC-1000, but expect a slightly looser fit than with a true Les Paul.submitted3 years ago
