Bassbreaker 007 1x10 7W Tube Guitar Combo Amp

Fender Bassbreaker 007 1x10 7W Tube Guitar Combo Amp

Description
Fueled by a pair of 12AX7 preamp tubes and a single EL84 power tubes for 7 watts of true Class-A amplification, the Bassbreaker 007 Combo features traditional gain and tone controls, and an interesting option—switchable vintage-style treble booster for increased overdrive and added harmonics. Higher gain settings of the 007 are just plain fun, but never mask the dynamics and identity of the guitar.
The onboard 1/4" line output connects directly to recording gear or a larger amp. Bold visual touches include block Fender logo, dark grey lacquered tweed covering, leatherette handle and big, bold pointer knobs.
Loaded with complex, refined sound, the agile Bassbreaker 007 Combo provides delectable crunch that's shaken, not stirred. Add the optional booster footswitch and protective amp cover to complete this globe-hopping ensemble.
Features Include
•Moderately sized, with 7 watts of big tone
•Single EL84 power tube, true class “A” operation Vintage-style treble-booster circuit switch on front panel for extra gain and harmonics (also operated by optional single-button footswitch)
•Line output (1/4”) for use with recording equipment or larger amp
•Single 10” Celestion® Ten Thirty speaker
Bassbreaker Series
The late-'50s tweed-covered Fender Bassman is often called the grandfather of all guitar amps. What started earlier that decade as the companion amp for the Precision Bass actually became one of the most beloved guitar amps of all time, thanks to its simplicity and versatility, its wide dynamic range and warm tube overdrive, its full-frequency stage-filling power and its rugged roadworthiness.
Fender tweed amps evolved into the brown, blonde, blackface and silverface models of the 1960s. Along with the dramatic evolution of their look, the amps were redesigned each time to sound brighter and cleaner.
New Bassbreaker Series guitar amplifiers continue that fascinating lineage with yet another sound and style, a kind of "parallel evolution" in which time-honored Fender amp DNA results in a satisfyingly dirtier tone that evokes the dawn of hard rock.
The new series takes the 45-watt 1959 Bassman design and breaks it with features including the early Fender block-letter logo, black tweed covering, and refined pointer knobs plus power tubes hinting at the U.K. amps that "borrowed" Fender circuits in the 1960s. The sound is one of pure and unadulterated tube greatness.

Where is the reverb?

Fender tube amp without reverb? Lose the treble boost and add reverb! Marshall and Blackstar both have tube amps at this price with reverb. They have great cleans and a better overdrive....I own them both.
Great, with some modifications!

This is what I did not like about the unit.... The jewel light is white and BLINDING! No reverb and the tubes are GROOVETUBES, they're ok. This is what I did and now I LOVE IT..... Switched out the amp jewel for a blue jewel light... I had to use some pliers to install new one, no BIGGIE. I bought a FENDER MARINE LAYER REVERB pedal. I bought tubes by TAD and now it sounds LOVELY!!! V1- RT010 7025 HIGHGRADE TAD Premium Selected V2- RT011 7025 S Premium Selected -Mullard style V3- RT871 TAD-EL84-STR This is now my FAVORITE low wattage amp! It will not take the place of my Hot-Rod DeVille 212, cause it's a monster!

I picked this amp up used at gc. I've been leaning towards low wattage combo amps lately. I have the 45 watt bassbreaker head and love it but wanted a more portable version. At first I wasn't too crazy about the sounds I was getting out of this amp even using a 1x12 cab. I decided I would try better tubes and a speaker upgrade. I got a emminence rajin Cajun 10 inch and tung sol tubes. OMG I don't know which one had the most effect or maybe it was the combination,(I suspect the speaker) but now this amp is magical for gritty blues I use the treble booster almost all the time. I haven't even plugged my pedal board into it yet. For a $100 investment of upgrades it blew me away. Two thumbs up!!
What a Great Amp

Super impressive amp. Fender really got it right with this one. I bought this after playing it in a GC and comparing it to the Blackstar HT-5R and other similarly sized amps. Finally an EQ that actually does something! I have a number of more expensive boutique amps and this one is right in the mix for about 25% of the price. So many tones possible and genuinely great tube tone. Also a really surprising amount of bass on tap for a smaller amp with a 10 inch speaker. I've seen some reviews indicating you can't get a great clean tone but I disagree. I've played a Tele, Strat, Les Paul , Duesenberg and others through it and they all sound great. No reverb, but trust me - buy this amp and buy the Boss FRV-1. You'll get an amp with killer versatile tone and an even more adjustable reverb for still a reasonable price.
007 through 4 /10" speaker cab rocks!

I have been looking for this amp all my life. To me it is a 7 watt Marshall. A. Blues Breaker is the perfect tone, but it is toooooooo loud! The Bassbreaker 007 solves that problem. I run the 007 through my 4/10" speaker cabinet, and it sounds amazing. It has the Marshall tone, and the volume is louder than I need, even when I'm playing in a live band. I have had the amp for about 3 months, and I am thrilled with it. We do use monitors, so the volume of the 007 is mainly for me. Great amp!
Best tube pactice amp available?

After trial and error I found this baby. I wanted genuine tube overdrive in a package that i could practice at home with. I also wanted to use this as a home version of my rig, running pedals through this amp to develop my tones for the stage. Really couldnt be any happier with the 007 combo. The treble boost and gain really color your tone and the amp takes pedals exceptionally well. I had to purchase 2 other small practice amps and return both because of their unnatural sound and inability to take pedals. You wont be dissapointed with the Bassbreaker 007.

I see this amp has an "onboard 1/4" line output ". Can it be used for headphones? Thanks.
No,it can't. A line output does not generate any voltage and can't power a speaker.
