Designed for solo performers, DJs and public events, this speaker sets a new standard in live sound technology.

Pristine Sound With SST Technology

Electro-Voice's Signal Synchronized Transducers (SST) enhance the ZLX-12P G2's sound by improving coverage and clarity while boosting low-end reproduction. Powered by Dynacord, the ZLX-12P G2's onboard DSP offers intuitive sound control. The built-in 4-channel mixer features EQ, compression and reverb, along with ducking to prioritize vocals over background tracks. Stereo Bluetooth connectivity allows wireless playback, while presets and a 7-band graphic EQ let you fine-tune the mix for any performance scenario. With QuickSmart's one-knob control or app-based wireless management, adjustments are effortless and precise.

Durable Cabinet With Monitor Angles

I'm definitely getting a second one.

This thing sounds mint. I paired it with my pod go. I can absolutely hear the difference. I have headrush frfr speakers, alto, alesis, harbinger, and now a single EV. The EV is my favorite. To be honest, I like all those speakers to some level. I have them varied in size from 8s to 15s. The Alesis is more for my drum machine but I've definitely used it with amp modelers and it was ok. The EV is crisp and clear. It packs a punch. I'm ok with the 12s. Lugging 15s can be a little much. Especially since 12s will work for me a lot of the time. 2 8s will work a lot of the time but I do like the power of the 12s. So bottom line is this is a great speaker. If you're looking to spend a little less but have a lot of power, I think the Harbinger 15s are a good option. Just my opinion. I guess it depends on what you want it for. I'm using these speakers for live music. Most of the time for my amp modeler and drum machine. I also use them with microphones but most of the time its for my instruments. These are also surprisingly lighter than I expected. That's also a plus.

Awful.

One thing I like about the old ones is you plug them in and they Sound great. These new ones I don't want to have to mess around with an app on my phone or some settings on the back with the digital screen; I don't care. I just want the speakers to work.

I bought a pair of these Electro-Voice ZLX-12P G2 speakers and mounted them on Proline SPS502 Speaker Stands, along with my Electro-Voice ELX200-18SP for my DJ setup. The sound is clear and full without the subwoofer, but of course the sub makes them come alive. Using the onboard DSP is easy to figure out as there is a setting to match up with the sub seamlessly. There is an app you can download to your phone to control them remotely but haven't needed it yet. Played a 3-hour party without any hiccups a mix of Hip/Hop, EDM and Deep house music. The speakers appear durable and solid, easy to carry by myself. #sweepstakes

What kind of xlr speaker wire would be compatible for the Ev zlx 12p g2 power speaker

    Open Reply - Gear-Support
The XLR would take a mic/signal cable. It's not like a parallel speaker output. Please see: Livewire Elite Quad XLR Microphone Cable.

Question: What are the basic settings on the rear of the ZLX-12P-G2 for this to operate correctly? I do not need exotic. I need a basic neutral setting; then I can adjust on my mixer. Thanks Peter
