The Cremona SV-75 Premier Novice violin outfit equips new violinists with a quality yet affordable violin, bow, case and strings to start learning and practicing right away. This 1/8-size violin is made of hand-carved spruce and maple selected for optimal sound quality and playability. Inlaid purfling and fine craftsmanship have given the SV-75 its reputation for rich tone and value. The SV-75 is a favorite of music educators for school violin programs thanks to its ability to produce a beautiful sound in small hands.

Durable Yet Lightweight violin Case for Protection and Portability

The SV-75 includes a sturdy violin case to safely transport the instrument to and from lessons or rehearsals. Its lightweight wood shell and plush black interior provide impact resistance without adding unnecessary bulk. Ample storage space for the bow, rosin, shoulder rest and other accessories keeps everything organized and prevents loss or damage. The case's dual zippers, padded handle and shoulder strap make it comfortable to carry while the violin remains securely housed inside.

Well-Balanced Maple Bow Produces Rich Tone

A high-quality maple bow with an octagonal Brazilwood stick and horsehair provides even pressure and full-bodied sound. Its precise balance and flexibility enable smooth transitions between notes across all four strings. The bow's lightweight yet durable construction is sized appropriately for small hands to master proper bowing technique from the very first lesson.

US-Made Strings Provide Consistent Intonation

D'Addario Prelude strings, preferred by educators, come pre-installed on the SV-75. These US-made strings are designed specifically for student violins to facilitate learning by producing clear, consistent tones. Their durable construction prevents frequent breakage, allowing students to focus on proper fingering and bowing techniques rather than constantly replacing strings.

Meticulous Setup for Easy Playability

Before shipping, Cremona's expert luthiers carefully inspect and adjust each SV-75 outfit at their US workshop. They ensure low, even action, proper bridge placement, and optimal string height for the best possible playability, tone, and intonation right out of the case. This high-quality setup allows students to start learning and practicing immediately without frustration over a poorly adjusted instrument.

I bought this for my son as a first violin. I was really surprised by the beautiful tone this little violin has. For the price, it is fantastic.

Made in China. Website description tries to sell this based on "Italian design" and "assembled in America". Truth is, if assembled in America the sticker cannot say "made in China" if it was made by assorted parts from China, but assembled in America. Most likely, being put into a box is what this misleading description from guitar center of means. The issue is: -the used condition -finger prints and smudges of unknown kind all over the body -the body also has hundreds of micro-scratches. -seems as though someone tried with wax to buff those out and they also returned the product cleaning it up the best they could. -the bow had a broken string Who ships a dirty violin with a damaged bow and sells it as new? The product is amazing I got the Violin since I am going to be taking lessons on it next semester. I am not a music major but music is my escape and I am excited to learn how to play violin. This is coming from a computer science major 😂 #sweepstakes

My son uses this instrument for his classical music classes and it has an unparalleled sound. The teacher says it is a good investment!

  • I would not recommend buying stringed instruments on line.

Not the first instrument I bought on line from musicians friend. You will need to have guitars professionally set up. This violin string broke as soon as I started to tune it. Very disappointed.

My daughter received this violin as a Christmas gift. She loves it. Replaced an instrument her mom was renting for her.

This would be my first violin, some reviews are saying that the strings snap. Is there a way for me to prevent this myself or can I have it tuned in the store?

Any string will snap if it's over tightened. One of the most important things is for student to know what is correct. I would suggest a tuner. I wish they were are around when I was a student. I'm sure they'll tune it up for you.
