This gig bag is pricey, but you get what you pay for. Well-padded so it protects the keyboard well. I love all the outer pockets, as they hold the music stand (that comes with the keyboard), sheet music/smaller music books, power source, the SP-34 3-Pedal sustain board if you have it, with space to hold some cables and extension cords. I love the arm straps, since I'm 5'1" and the keyboard could be almost as tall as me, the straps do help me to carry the keyboard short distances and also leverage the weight to get in and out of my vehicle. I saw other gig bags in the store and they were not as sturdy or padded as this one, and were essentially the same price. I have the Casio CDP-350 and the keyboard fits perfectly snug in this case. Would be cool if it had wheels, but cheap/lightweight wheels would eventually break and become a nuisance; sturdier wheels made of metal would add weight to the total load... so this bag is great as it is. I definitely recommend it if you are going to be taking this keyboard out of the house and transporting it to gigs or lessons.

    This is a first-rate gig-bag. It's not cheap, but it's worth it.

Your honest appraisal regarding this bag being used as a checked bag for air travel? It would be ideal, but my instincts tell me a hard sided case would be better. I want to make a one way trip from NY to retirement homestead (2–3 plane transfers). Thank you for your time and candor.

    1) don't even think about. It wouldn't make it to the ramp. A hard shell will 'probably' be ok. How valuable is your guitar? I recommend - Fender CEO Guitar Flight Case With Wheels Aluminum Gray
