Introducing the XDJ-AZ all-in-one DJ system

AlphaTheta

Description

Step behind the decks and it feels like a club rig—only this one fits in your car, studio or DJ booth without a flight case army. The AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ 4-channel all-in-one DJ system combines a familiar CDJ/DJM-style layout with next-gen streaming, cloud integration and ultra-fast wireless monitoring. A 10.1" capacitive touchscreen, full-size jog wheels and a tactile mixer section make it feel instantly natural. Meanwhile, built-in integration with Apple Music, Beatport's StreamingDirectPlay, rekordbox CloudDirectPlay, and SonicLink low-latency headphone support turn the XDJ-AZ into a self-contained performance hub that thrives in clubs, bars and mobile rigs.

Club-Style Layout Primed for Professional Performance

The XDJ-AZ takes its design cues from flagship Pioneer DJ gear, so transitioning from a CDJ-3000 and DJM-A9 booth is straightforward. Four channels, full-size jog wheels and performance pads give you the same hands-on control as a club system, with dedicated Beat FX controls and smooth EQs for shaping every transition. The mixer section offers flexible routing and high-quality faders, making the unit equally at home as a standalone centerpiece or integrated into a larger PA setup.

Apple Music, Beatport and rekordbox Integration

With StreamingDirectPlay integration, you can log into Beatport directly from the XDJ-AZ and play from vast online catalogs without a laptop. You also have the ability to access Apple Music, further bolstering your sound library with over 100 million tracks and 30,000 playlists. Tracks are analyzed on the unit so you still get waveforms, BPM and beat grids for tight mixing and Quantize-based performance. Additionally, rekordbox CloudDirectPlay support lets you pull playlists and tracks from your cloud library, complete with cues and metadata, so your club set, studio prep and mobile gigs all stay in sync across locations.

Vivid Touchscreen for Quick Browsing and Mixing

The AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ's bright 10.1" capacitive display shows detailed waveforms, track lists and performance data at a glance. Touch Preview allows you to audition sections of a track without loading it to a deck, while Touch Cue lets you check upcoming breakdowns or drops during a mix. Features such as Playlist Bank, on-screen pad modes and Beat FX control streamline set prep and live tweaks, helping you move quickly between genres and energy levels.

SonicLink Wireless Monitoring and Flexible Connectivity

Proprietary SonicLink technology pairs the XDJ-AZ with compatible AlphaTheta headphones such as the HDJ-F10 for ultra-low-latency wireless monitoring, giving you cable-free freedom with timing that stays locked to your performance. Standard analog outputs, mic inputs and USB connectivity cover club installs, mobile rigs and streaming setups, while the system’s robust build is ready for regular transport. For DJs who require a professional all-in-one deck that blends club-standard workflow with modern streaming and cloud tools, the AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ offers a powerful, portable solution built for real-world stages.

Best place to purchase

Been looking to upgrade my dj set up as I gig twice every weekend. Eyed the AZ and was able to get it within a day. Austin, my sales advisor, was able to discount the retail price for me and also breakdown the pro coverage for me. Knowing that I can easily just take it to a guitar center if anything goes wrong and having it fixed asap is better peace of mind rather than shipping out and going through a rougher process. And I've been using this unit for 6hrs straight on Fridays and Saturdays and it's been perfect. No issues at all. I advise people who are skeptical on the AZ, to go try it out and see for yourself. Perfect all in one unit. No laptop needed. And guitar center is the best place to get it because it's very accessible if anything were to happen Only thing to consider is that it's heavier than most units so I'd advise in getting a low profile case or transport with soft case to lessen the total lbs when moving around with it. #sweepstakes

Unit turns off/sleep mode during mid sets - buyer beware

Build quality not the greatest, almost feels like cheap material but still looks great. As of Nov 6, 2024 my unit goes into sleep mode and does not want to start up unless I restart unit. This has happened multiple times mid dj practice sets. Unable to take it to actual gigs due to its unreliability. This may be a firmware fix but nothing from Alpha Theta yet. I would suggest not to buy until this is resolved. I have seen multiple videos on YouTube showing the exact same thing happening to them.

Half of the beat FX are hidden behind a fricking paywall. This controler is a decent design and I like the work flow but its already quite expensive and asking me for a monthly payment just to be able to use all of the hardware that i paid for feels deeply wrong.

  • I would by this product again amazing controller

I moved up from a DDJ-1000 and couldn't be happier. It's not identical to a CDJ3000 or the DJM-A9 obviously but I'd say pretty similar. You wouldn't feel lost sitting down on a now standard club setup of CDJ3000's. Update your firmware, format your USB, no issues for me so far!

What are the differences between the XZ and AZ? As far as I can see, it is only soniclink and the Cloudsync?
