On-Stage

collapse expand iconDescription

The sturdy On-Stage Stands KSA7500 Keyboard X-Stand add-on 2nd tier lets you double your keyboard space without springing for another stand or a more elaborate system. Tilt adjustment helps you put your board right where you want it.

It can be inserted into most X-style keyboard stands with round or square tubing, and uses a tightening knob with an internal-tubing mechanism to secure the 2nd tier. A midpoint clutch featuring two disks with 36 interlocking teeth allows the user to tilt the second tier to any position without worrying about slippage. The clutch is made with die-cast zinc for added strength.

The unit comes complete with a stabilizer bar that keeps the left and right tier members upright when it is properly assembled between the two members. And, because the stabilizer bar telescopes, the width of the entire 2nd-tier unit adjusts with your stand.

The KSA7500 fits all On-Stage Stands X-Style models as well as most name-brand keyboard stands.

I have a 61-key (14 1/2lbs) on the upper level and a 49-key (22 lbs) on the bottom level. Stand rests on carpet which is flat, but there's definitely a slight wobble to the stand. That said, it's a good enough value that I'd buy again. Just set up where it can't be knocked over.

It's good when performing live as it is very very firm and can be adjusted to the right angle for comfortable playing.

  • Holds up my added on keyboard!

I bought this stand years ago, both the lower and upper part at the same time. I thought it was poorly designed because the upper part was not stable. It was not until many months later I realized a stabilizing bar should span the upper tier. I was told I needed to buy a whole new upper part by the salesperson on the phone at the time. I was so annoyed that I have never used this stand since. All I need is that one bar. Is it possible to buy just that?

Hey, I want to use this as a means to support my computer so I can read music off of it while I play.

Will this be able to be small enough to hold my computer (laptop?)

This will not shrink down that small. It has a width of 31". You'll want something like - Quik-Lok LPH-X Universal Laptop Moiunt for X-Stands.

How do I install this to my Double X KS8291 Lok-Tight Keyboard Stand? There are rubber caps fully covered in the front of the stand and then there are two rubbers in the rear (back) that are open. However, there is built in plastic caps in the rear attached to the stand. Do those come off and is that where you install the add on second tier?

Those plastic caps in the rear can be removed and the Add On Tier inserted.
