    I purchased this caxixi along with another one by a different manufacturer Overseas Connection. I think if I had just received the Nino product I would have been fine with it, but man, is the other one just awesome. It's much louder and distinct than the Nino branded caxixi, which sounds much more muffled/soft. I think it has to do with differences in the bases between the two. I purchased this for a unit study on Africa for my children, and they love playing with them. They both gravitate however towards the Overseas Connection caxixi just because it's more loud and distinct.
