Great sound but will only work on some guitars

I love the sound and the fact that you recharge it via usb port but it will only work on Gibson and Fender style jacks. Even then on SG's the neck tone knob gets in the way. On Ibanez S series the plug simply won't go into the in-put on the guitar. Other than this its a great idea as compared to the Vox AMPLUG to where its as if your stuck with only one tone and then have to buy separate versions for differing types of playing

Not worth the money...

I purchased this device because I am learning to play the bass and I didn't want to bother my neighbors with my noise. It works well enough to listen with the volume up, but once I mess with the other control knobs, the sounds is terribly distorted and inconsistent. For the price of this device I would recommend an iRig or any of the many other options out there as this device will not interact with any tuning or music apps.

I can dial in a good sound with it. I need to experiment with plugging it into other things for backing tracks and all yet. I do wish it had some amp simulations though. I can get nice blue tones or distortion out of it though.

Practice any time without bothering others. I like the USB rechargeable battery. Drive is okay but doesn't get deep as heavy metal. Still, if practice is your goal, it is hard to beat this little device.

I bought this headphone amp because it didn't seem too expensive and it was the only headphone amp (that I saw) that specifically said it could produce both a clean and distorted sound. I haven't had any other headphone amps but so far I'm satisfied (I've had it for a few days but have been using it pretty much nonstop). Pros: 1) Works for both clean and distortion. 2) Small and portable, but can produce a lot of sound. 3) Holds charge well, so far. I've only had it for a few days, but I've used it for at least 8 hours and it hasn't died yet. Cons: 1) Out of the three pairs of headphones I tried, the amp only worked well with one. The earphones worked the worst and had horrible sound quality (which makes sense, I guess); the Yamaha headphones worked a bit better but didn't work well with the clean setting; and the "Your Health Matters" headphones worked the best and worked with both clean and distortion (which I didn't expect since Yamaha are usually the best with instruments). In order words, if it doesn't work/doesn't work well with one pair of headphones, try different headphones because that's probably the issue. Also, don't use earbuds because they don't work that well. 2) You're going to have to play around with the drive and volume knobs quite a lot until you find the sound you like at a suitable volume. I wouldn't say it's difficult to use, but it took some time to find good settings. I suggest you have tone all the way up, though, because that sounds the best. 3) When you increase drive, you may have to decrease the volume a lot because it gets VERY loud if you don't; when you decrease drive, you'll have to increase volume a lot because otherwise you may not be able to hear much (depending on how much you decrease drive). Overall, the cons are pretty much all solvable and they're not really that irritating once you find the heapdhones and settings that work for you (and you don't switch them every ten seconds).

Works in my Strat, my Gretsch Pro Jet, my SG and my Dean Shire with no issues. Not the perfect sound you get from an amp, but for practicing and goofing around it's great and sounds cool enough and doesn't tick off the neighbors! Been using it for two weeks without having to charge (but it's due!).
